New Job

Mucksavaga seems to have gone awfully quiet lately, no scab reports or saying how brilliant his job was, well my gross pay today for doing just one hour of actual work ie bringing the ship into Teesdock from the anchorage is £155.00. The rest of the time I have been on the Trucknet forum, how boring is that

At present discharging our cargo in Immingham (which to me IS the end of the world) then taking the ship to Whitstable where she will change ownership, so all crew change. That dont affect me because I was only here until the end of July but I feel for the rest of the lads as most of them have been on this ship for 4 or 5 years.

We think driving becomes a way of life but being at sea really is a way of life especially if you’re away months at a time like some can be .

Raymundo,

The Red Duchess is part of “my fleet” on the AIS tracker site as I like to view what’s happening around the west coast & isles.

Do you know anything about the ships Fergusons of Spean Bridge run on timber & fish food work as I’m struggling to get much info’ on them?

Have been enjoying reading your posts Raymundo,an interesting way of life & one I wish I had taken up in my younger years.

Good luck with future work be it shipping or back on the road.

Theres not much info available online about Fergusons apart from the normal advertising site, as for the Red Duchess I was skipper of her for about two years but fell out with the owner cos I wasn;t ‘a yes sir three bags full sir’ type of person. Good ship, good work, was on charter to JST of Ayr who I found were fine to deal with. Just a shame it all went ■■■■ up, for me that is but plenty of other work about but I want some time at home…please

BTW… If you check the ShipAis website under Scotland you will find umteen pages dedicated to the travels of the Red Duchess or its forgoing name 'life and general…, mostly boring but there ya go. Now working on east coast and even more boring. Thanks

Haha, the hypocrisy is stunning! This from the man who posts more non trucking ■■■■ than anyone else on the whole forum! I suppose your recent post on the pro drivers forum is trucking related then? Princess Di, the Queen, price of a pint etc? Unbelievable :unamused:

More interesting than some of the useless crap you post Toby

) then taking the ship to Whitstable where she will change ownership, so all crew change. That dont affect me because I was only here until the end of July

That sums you up to a tee. You are only on that barge because you are cheaper than a foreigner, make no mistake about that, and yet another ship is sold and your shipmates are out of a job and you state that it was temporary so deck em. You really do file me posting about crap runs and crap ships you ain’t no sailor as you have been told on merchant navy friends as for your pathetic post about $155 on a sunday thats exactly what i get from 6-30 to 1300 and double time thereafter driving a lime green low loader in london and Herts. Listen you west isle fisherman who has a drink problem and kicks with the wrong foot. As toby said find another forum to bore people to death you
Ffs don’t drive a wagon and drop the wages even more leave us well alone as been proven you have no shipmates and mates you

Not still bitter then?

Have you considered some looser pants or something man, you sound like you’re heading for a coronary! I can just imagine you sitting there in your RMT donkey jacket all red in the face and furious, you need to calm yourself down fella :open_mouth:

I thought all you “Jolly Jack Tars” were one big band of brothers!!..you know, takeing it in turns as to who goes next into the bottom of the barral and all that!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Mrhappy and bullit you are both right, I have no right to air my personal views onto a forum for lorrydrivers and slate a fellow seafarer. Its the country we live in where we taxed to the hilt, work very hard with no thanks or gratitude for pay which i earned years ago no job security.
I have become a tax magnet im of the oplnion now if you are white, working and single you are behind Innuit gays for any assistance from this and previous governments rant over and i’m truly sorry to raymundo.
not ■■■■■■ yet in hemel, but still an eeejit on a smartphone.

No problem, you have every right to air your views on a forum, thats the whole idea and personally, I was finding the whole thing quite good until you lost the plot and went into Scargill mode

Anyway, you’ve apologised to Raymundo and it takes a good man to do that

Acknowledged, but would still be interested in what made you draw that false idea in the first place…

Just read this latest mess of a moron rambling, he does not have a bloody clue, this ship was sold to another BRITISH company and all the regular crew have been transferred to another ship so NO-ONE has last a job. Also we get paid in £ST and I got that for ONE hours work not 6 1/2 like you claim.
I’m glad I put ‘acknowledged’ and not ‘accepted’.

Sorry… meant to say ‘’ LOST’’ not last.
End of…
Goodbye
