I’ve already posted a question here, but thought I ought to introduce myself.
My name’s Sadie and I’m originally from Leicestershire, now living in Berkshire.
I wanted to get an HGV licence many years ago, but the cost was always out of my range, so for a long time I’ve been doing marketing as my job. Life has changed and I decided to bite the bullet and book myself on a course. Decided to go with Cat C to start with and see how things go. Didn’t want to go all the way to committing to C+E just yet, but if things go to plan then I hope to progress to artics.
In my spare time I like being out on my motorbike, muddy mountain biking, watching football, going to the pub and have spend many years offroading in a 4x4 I modified myself. Have added some pics (below) for fun!
Have found some amazing info on this forum and have read most of the newbie stuff. Already started to try and change my “go as fast as possible and break as late as possible” (bad) commuter driving habits and learn MSM all over again - wondered what them flashy orange things were for! lol
Anyway, that’s enough from me. I’m off around the forum to soak up more useful information
Welcome to the forum Sadie.Good as time as any for getting your licence.Seems to be work about for new drivers.Plenty of interests you have to.You’ll fit in well here.Lots of useful information on here.Enjoy.

Sadie ,you have Pulleyn International transport at Church Mile End Reading.
They cover TIR countries such as Eastern Europe and Turkey on fridge trailers with high value pharmacy loads.
Scandinavia trips on their list.
Ask for Scott and apply for an interview once you have your artic licence.
I J Mgills at Keynsham Bristol need drivers for local/distance day and night work.
Massey Wilcox at Chilcompton near Radstock Bath have five trucks parked up with no drivers to cover work.
JF Pearce at Shepton Mallet need drivers now.
Ask for Joe Pearce.Building materials all over the UK.
Hiab trailers or wagon and drag work.
Framptons at Shepton need artic drivers.

It was actually in place ‘obvious troll is obvious’ but beginning to look like I was wrong. Still not convinced, all seems a bit too staged for me.
Thanks for all the welcomes - not a bad bunch here after all
martinviking:
Welcome.
Nice, very nice !
& the bike looks nice as well.
Is that a Fazer 600 ? (exhaust down pipes look a bit small for a 1000)
Yep that’s my FZ6. Had a VFR800 before and hated it. Much happier back on a Yamaha and I’m only little so 600 suits me fine. Would probably kill myself on a 1000!

Welcome to the mad house
Dont be afraid to ask away
But do you really ride with those heels on Have just bought a GPZ 500 took time to get helmet to fit mind will struggle with bike boots ( size 34 )
On the back of my lorry it say " 44t PMT Please dont Mess "
I have ridden with those boots on, but don’t as a rule as they’re not proper bike boots - but my proper ones do have heels, just not as big. Helmets I struggle with - finding one in a small enough size that I like is the challenge.
