‘bullying’ that goes on is disgusting. Why can’t all drivers help each other out? To end that, I would never ask a question about anything on here after what I’ve seen for the past few weeks.
obviously not had your licence long? please hand it back! drivers never help each other out, all eradicated 20 plus years ago once BIG firms realised they could make money out SCREWING drivers! unfortunately for us mobile phones/ cab phones came into existence, the Berlin Wall came down and butty bars started doing SALADS! now we’re overrun by ex commie foreigners now if you don’t ask questions you can’t learn owt! newbies don’t approach any old timers they’ll park up, pull their curtains then pull their pud it’s all banter, don’t believe everything you see or read!
You came onto this forum to find out if you want to be in the transport industry? Blimey, that’s like looking at a tourist brochure on Ireland to find out if you’re going to like Guinness!
truckyboy, I have seen your posts and they are nothing but helpful most of the time. Like I’ve said, I’m not here to point the finger or single anyone out. It’s just something for people to think about.

It was actually to see how many people have had similar experiences to me etc. it’s a long winded, boring story.
Ha. You’re not likely to get one out of me. I’m far too laid back for all that [zb]. I save the arguing for when I’m discussing the dog eating my house!
post your question and select the answers you want to read. you do not need to take any notice of comments that you do not like so why worry about it? its nothing personal and you will always meet ■■■■■■■■■ in life whether its face to face or on the internet. its up to you how you deal with them but i usually opt for ignoring them and getting on with something that is actually worth my time. bickering over something pointless isnt worth the hassle

Being quite new to this forum I have been quite disappointed at times. It is meant to be for professionals and for sure there are some very good posts and discussions but there is an awful lot of bad attitude and some downright childishness.
As for new drivers versus older drivers it is just like anything else you have your good ones and your bad ones.
In my view some older drivers although very experienced become complacent which is a very easy thing to do in any business but can be a very dangerous thing.
Younger drivers obviously need to gain experience but there general driving can be very good depending on their attitude and if they have been trained properly.
As for professionalism on the road these days I think it leaves a lot to be desired.I have noticed especially on this forum people are very quick to blame anyone but a truck driver and like a lot of people these days do not want to take responsibility for their own actions.
I find it all quite sad that people in general now have a very poor view of truck drivers but when you see the way some of them drive you can understand why.
A few years ago I used to be proud to say I was a truck driver but now I am afraid I am ashamed to be associated with the bully tactics used by some.Thank goodness I am now semi retired and only work when I want.
This forum most definately has a clique. If youre not in it - your nobody. I’ve seen an awfull lot of arrogent unfriendly attitudes on here. Only a very small amount of helpful informative posts.
my own opinions on this site after i think 3 years is there seem to be some kind of club system, and this includes some of the mods, certain posts are allowed and other similar ones can be locked or deleted and it seems to be at times merely down to who as made the post…
I’ve only been on this forum a short time and when I first joined i was gob smacked as some of the attitudes on here, especially for people who call themselves professionals drivers. Some posts on here really are along the same lines as school playground argument.
