Network HGV, can anyone help?

In any event this is not the type of regulation that would prevent what happened to the OP.

Perfectly true - I wandered off topic a bit. But it does reflect on the general unprofessional attitude within the industry.

The simple answer is one that is repeated day after day on this site. Go and visit the training company before you book. Things can still go wrong after that but a lot less often.

Good luck with sorting the problem out

Like the man said! Pete

Peter Smythe:

DSA do not send the questions and answers. The test is computer generated in a similar manner to the “normal” test but also includes questions on instructional technique and paperwork. The minor faults on the driving test go down very quickly - faults that would not be marked for a novice will be marked for a wannabee instructor. Part 3 is, as you say, the trickiest bit. But there’s more to it than correcting the drive. It’s about attitude, knowledge and instructional ability. No-one will ever pass relying on just correcting the drive.

DSA do still send the question bank to potential Instructors with the initial info pack that is sent out.

But the best advise is VISIT BEFORE PARTING WITH YOUR HARD EARNED CASH PLEASE

Just a quick update on this thread.

This situation is now starting to get out of hand. I registered a dispute on the canyoutrustthem.com website. There are now five seperate claims against network hgv.

We have been promissed a refund by Andy Jacobs, who seems to be the only one there that wants to help. However even this I am taking with a liberal pinch of salt.

I have an appointment with my MP this coming Saturday were I will raise the points that some of you guys have mentioned. The law needs to be changed to stop directors repeatedly winding up a company with huge debts, only to form another the following day.

Again thanks to all who have tried to help, this aint over by a long chalk. :imp:

John.

Even a brief flick thru the average casefile here will confirm my belief that a fool & their money are soon parted, it is pointless trying to help them 'cos they’ll only go and do the same thing all over again.

Our energies are misplaced if they’re focused on helping these people, they are beyond help. We should focus instead on removing the parasites & leeches that feed off these fools.

All the laws are there, all the people with the power to act on those laws are there. All we need to do is get them doing their jobs.

John.

Do you have a replacement for this system we call ‘Limited Company’ ?

Are you a Marxist?

Do you know what the word ‘Capitalist’ means?

Who are you going to work for when your MP helps you to stop ‘Limited Companies’ being formed?

There are numerous laws . . . sorry, Statutes in place to prevent Directors winding up Companies with huge debts only to resurface as a Phoenix. All we need is for those Statutes to be Policed, enforced & punished when broken.

I worked for the company that delivers all IKEA products in scotland. Using the reversing camera on a 7.5 ton truck ,i backed out of a tight spot after completing a delivery and knocked down an old concrete lamp post. i reported it to the council and the police within the 24 hour period as i’m required to do by law but my boss fired me and refused to pay me the £300 for the 52 hour week he made me work prior to this accident.the vehicle was undamaged.

The male enhancement thread is even better

To all the people on here who have noting better to do than critisise people who make a mistake.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU. I SINCERELY HOPE NOTHING BAD EVERY HAPPENS IN YOUR LIFE. THAT YOU NEVER NEED A HELPING HAND OR MORAL SUPPORT. IT MUST BE NICE TO SAIL THROUGH LIFE ON A FLUFFY WHITE CLOUD WATCHING AS OTHER PEOPLES WORLDS CRUBMLE AROUND THEM.

PERSONALLY I DON’T GET MY THRILLS FROM KICKING PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE DOWN. I EMPATHISE WITH OTHERS THAT HAVE TRIED TO IMPROVE THEIR LOT, ONLY TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OFF.

ULTIMATLEY, KHAMA WILL TAKE IT’S FULL COURSE. MY CONSCIENCE IS CLEAR. IS YOURS?

This is a sad sad day, how could people do such things. :imp: :imp:

John, please keep us informed, despite the idiots here who clearly have no sympathy. I’m sure it would be very much a different story if this had happened to them.

Sounds like it is could be a case of fraudulent behavior. Have you been in touch with the police?

Its official…Network HGV have gone bust.

Another broker who has gone ■■■■ up leaving students (who have paid £1,000’s) in the lurch and owing money to countless training providers all over the UK.

They are not the first and certainly won’t be the last!

Time certainly did tell Steve Manning (owner of Network HGV.) Now do you see why so many people were sceptical about your intentions and motives?

Turned out the sceptics were right after all. You were just another broker trying to get rich quick at the expense of those who were simply trying to better themselves.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you have already started up another “national” training company already!
Please don’t come on here again spouting the crap you did last time

Companies House (companieshouse.gov.uk) still list NETWORK LOGISTICS TRAINING LIMITED, Company No. 07059211 as status: ACTIVE.

Could you please clarify which Network HGV has “gone bust” by posting a link to a source of official information.

Not sure on how old this topic is but thought I should post my experiance with network hgv. Last year I booked a course with them and paid a £400 deposit. I unfortunatly had to cancel due to financial reasons and was within their 7 day refund policy. This is where the trouble started I wrote them a letter explaining why I needed to cancel and sent it off it was sent recorded and would have got there on the 5th day of the 7. They told me they never received it and therefore could not refund my money luckily I had the proof of delivery and signature so they did not have a leg to stand on. But it took alot even with this proof to get my money back and a number of months. I hope all worked out right for the original poster
