208 trucks is all it will take to bring the great british dictatorship to a standstill.
I do know that to bring the supply of all food and goods to UK supermarkets could be done very easily and within the law…This is because they would have to use the same law that they use against travellers to move the vehicles that block the entrances and exits and emergency entrances/exits to RDCs, because the land that they occupy is private, it is not a public right of way. Work out how many RDC
s there are, how many entrances/exits and it would take less than 100 trucks to block them, if the average truck has living accomadation for more than three days, you have brought the entire country to a standstill, really quite simple.
Why do I know this?
Because I used to be in food manufacturing and had to liase with the H&S managers of RDCs regarding distribution etc. I checked these very facts out because I was interested in bringing the nation to it
s knees.

I’ll join you if you want to improve DRIVERS WAGES! I find it strange that so many are concerned on here about the price of fuel and talk about taking action yet don’t seem willing to think along the same lines to do something for themselves rather than the guvnors! Or does the diesel money come straight out of yer wallets■■?
as sympathetic as i am towards this, how could you pull it off in practice? the government would say that wages are nothing to do with them, the public will not support us so we would never get the numbers needed and how/where would you stage a protest?
besides, reducing expenditure means more money in your pocket anyway which is the same outcome with the exception that you would lose more of your gross rather than nett wage if you increased wages and costs. your expendible income would remain relatively unchangedDefeatist claptrap! You sound like every politician there’s ever been and you haven’t stood yet! Vote for Scanny and I will do what I think is best for you rather than doing what the electorate want! You can [zb] off if you think you’re getting my vote!
im a defeatist because i wont attempt a tried and failed method? that makes me a realist! go slows are a waste of time and money. that has been proven. the 2000 protests worked but they havent since! what do you think will happen? an invitation to number 10 for a cuppa and a chat? no, they will say ‘bloody truck drivers’ and that will be the end of it. it will achieve NOTHING! im not telling anyone what to do, quite the opposite in fact as i have invited discussion on the events and left the actual topics open to individuals to bring up whatever they like. i wont waste peoples time on something that will not work and i will not put them at risk from police retaliation.
besides, this is bigger than a few pence on diesel. 700 jobs in kilmarnock, 200 in port dundas, 700 in larbert. these are companies who are moving their operations overseas where it is cheaper and our government have failed to negotiate on our behalf therefore they have added to unemployment. plus as people are taking pay and/or hours cuts to safeguard jobs, the government are now increasing necessary expenditure to pay off the debts that THEY ran up. this will lead to more people giving up work because they cant afford to work which will add further strain to the treasury rather than replenishing it. MPs cant see that though which is why the public needs to get together and tell them just how much of an arse they are making of it

‘…calculate this. how many motorways are in the UK? multiply this by four trucks. two heading one way, two heading the other way.
that’s how many are required to make a full uk stoppage. everyone who dosn’t join in will be forced to join in…’
But when ol’ plod leans very heavily on half a bloke (ie, with a wrecker, etc) - busted!
Sorry for delay Wheel nut no im not a trucker but i own my own building company which fuel is one of our main expenses so trying to get much support for this cause i havent got an issue with stobbarts it was a comment made about the lack of support of people would stand by each other (dunkirk spirit) then things would more in likely happen but as it stands no one seems to want to commit to anything these days present company excluded but there is a lot of support from the general public this time they are arranging small protests themselves.

I’d be up for a bit of protest, but as with most on here, you aren’t really in control of the vehicle are you! It’s someone elses truck, load, planning etc…
We basically have two choices - do the job as they say or ■■■■ off !!
Edited to add, I would do it in my car if people were in agreement but again, as with most, I can’t afford the fuel to do it
Darby Flyer:

I’d do that too - but seeing as too many prol’s can’t be bothered to vote the protagonists out with a pencil cross, wassa point?
Allied to the nation’s vague loyalties with the ‘Euro-unified’ three parties we are guaranteed the perpetration of giving money away from our pee-ripping taxes. It’s a national fixation that many are blind to. Meanwhile, Blair has become loaded on it and many of the rest are wannabees!
So, I’ll fix my dodgy garage roof instead of wasting time with a cat-in-hells chance of ever benefitting a multitude of wasters evidently fixed into doing what Big-Brother-Brown and all other pro-European Westminster/Brussels/Strasbourg cronies hypnotise them to do.
So do we have an actual show of supports then its the 12th october 2009

Yep, 12th October looks good to me. I’ve checked with the green party and although they wouldn’t commint to a statement and agree ,they are happy with the idea of trucks being off the road, even if its just for a bit .
I would just like to say that about a year ago we had a roundabout day , that was where we all drove round roundabouts twice in protest. Not a problem for me as i ain’t too clued up as to where i’m going and i’ve been doing it ever since. I did notice no one else was doing it though !!
The time is upon us so show your support and join in see you all on Monday
It’s not an issue of excessive tax it’s one of an unfair competitive advantage being deliberately given to one,or more, modes of transport at the expense of another in an attempt to make road transport less competitive than it really is.It’s an issue going back years when DERV taxation was first brought in.
