Just reading a mustard jar after tea (yeah, the evenings just fly by in our house :unamused: ) and noticed that the bloke who founded the company in Dijon in 1855 was called Maurice Grey

We’ve all probably heard about Errol Flynn off Daysons, but any more ‘famous’ names you’ve worked with over the years?

Hullo Andy,
You must remember Glen Campbell then. Was’nt he a Cowboy ?
Cheers, Archie.

Funny you mentioning Glen Archie I was talking to my mate Bob the other day & He brought him up, saying He went & collected his motor from Ancona years ago. Anyone know what He’s up to now?

There is a 6ft tall bald bloke who is Motorheads tour truck driver at Trans-Am, his name is James Brown.

…Then there was Sidney Arberbridge, Robin Banks and Justin Case…but seriously. I also worked with a Matt Dillon at Stillers at Darton - a Canadian guy, maybe the same one?

There was a Richard Burton and a Richard Todd in the factory I loaded from !

Hullo,
Yes I’ve often wondered about him. He sold the two White Road Commanders (Big Ozzy drove the other one) and bought a Transcon. Then the last I heard was that he was on for FM out of Manchester, but he told me that he’d got ■■■■■■■ a bit with a bird in the office, ( I met her at a later date, but never got ■■■■■■■), his old Woman had found out and had chucked him out. I have never heard a word from him or about him since, that would be in about '94/'95, 16 odd years ago.
Cheers, Archie.

Last time I saw him he was driving a very flash 142 in orange, bit of a flashback here, Ray Hinds/Irons RIP was driving an ex Anglo Greek Renault for him at the time too but that must have been the early nineties, I got a lift up from Dover with Ray & the clutch was slipping. Oh well I’m sure someone will come along eventually & tell us.

Was’nt that his White on Anglo Greeks wall in Piraeus  you know the picture on the wall, I think they had a picture of a Planthaul motor too, I’m amazing myself here as I thought my memory had done one long ago :open_mouth:

Hullo “fly sheet”,
Yes on Theo Vienellis office wall, that’s right, a picture of Glens White and a photo of a Planthaul F12, I think. Driven by a big bloke called Alan. As you say one day somebody will come along and tell us. Who knows maybe he’s gone back to live in Gravesend.
Cheers, Archie.
