Name and Shame; Grumpy Goods In Staff

Total Foods, Clitheroe. Delivering what they’ve ordered is such an inconvenience, and if he has to move your pump and sack trucks…

It’ll be easier naming the happy ones.

Most if not all Tesco goods in staff , with the Woman at Thurrock being the worst , god I hate her !

I know its sad but she was the main reason Ive banned anyone in my house shopping at Tesco lol

I avoid Tesco and Aldi for the same reason
Sainsburys Waltham x were very polite and tipped me quickly yesterday
At waitrose Milton Keynes now and they seem ok
It seems the cheaper the supermarket the worst the goods in staff

I don’t think it would be a bad idea if management/Marketing of large operations, especially at head office level, logged in to these types of forums, give them an insight into what’s going on day to day, especially in these tough times, if drivers are getting to hate these operations so much they quite rightly ban their families from shopping there it might make these bozos change their modus operandi a bit and become more user friendly.
You can guarantee it isn’t company policy all the time, just the planks that work there.

That statement is bang on the money mate , but most I would say go into the job because it’s simply a job , they have a small if not no interest in said job and make that plainly clear to anyone that even dares to ask them a question , and if your giving advice … Forget it, it’s just not worth the flack

Birmingham new street where it’s being renovated. Gatemen are miserable (nothing new there) and make sure you’ve brought a wardrobe full of different coloured hi vis clothing and hats

Also forgot to add, if you turn up and your still there at 4.30pm, the gate closes and doesn’t open again till 7.30 :imp:

If it bothers some drivers enough that they can remember a list of “grumpy” goods in staff this is probably the wrong job for them… But anyway if i worked in one of them warehouses i think i’d get pretty ■■■■■■ off with stinking drivers coming in giving it the mouth about running out of time and needing to be tipped quick when its probably got nothing to do with the goods in clerk.

Well would you be a happy bunny if your company paid you minimum wage with the same rate overtime and made mega profits year in year out

We’re talking about goods in staff, not drivers wages.

been to grange packers warrington this morning.you speak to someone through a hole in the door with a piece of Perspex (drilled) with a sheet of black net curtain behind it ,IE: they can see out but you can`t see who is on the other side,■■ delivery notes are pushed through a slot with brush type draught excluder fitted . I thought I had popped into the confessional box.

To be fair, having seen the state of some of the good in waiting rooms, general drivers hygiene and attitude - multiply that by the numerous driver who arrive with their long stories about HoF and chalk marking still on their tires, you can understand their resentment.

Having said that there is no excuse for bad manners and they should not react to each driver in the same way. Good in staff are not to bad in reality, it’s the security staff which are about equal in the life of pond as bus drivers.

Aye and so am I, done a few for Asda awhile back, never again.

ive done gatehouse, goods in, warehouse and now i,m driving… tbh when doing gate I tried to be polite and helpfull ect but when your dealing with anywhere between 50-100 drivers ashift, listening to the same crap time after time you quickly loose any respect for majority of drivers, alot of drivers on here comment about the bull crap ect in a drivers waiting room imagine trying to put up with this constantly throughout your shift…
