In 17 years driving buses when the “ministry” used to do the checks they where always at the depot or in a bus station or terminus, I have never come across a local bus being pulled mid journey.
I have limped plenty of buses back to the depot with flat tyres.
Each depot had there own contract tyre fitter.
incredible how many ‘Saints’ are on this site,I wouldn’t employ any of you, wonder how many rigs run past you every day, fully laden and the driver
isn’t aware the INSIDE rear is flat and probably has been for a week.Lads time some of you grew a pair.
Just do it.
Did the tyre go down as you stopped? No, probably not. So you’ve driven it there like that, maybe 10 miles, with passengers, without noticing anything untoward. Another 10 won’t hurt then.
The supervisor did say that the cost of sending a tyre fitter out was expensive.
I’ll admit, I drove it back to the depot. Why? because I felt under pressure to do it and was unsure what the offence would be(and still am).

Under the Road Traffic Act of 1998 it is an offence to:
“Use, cause or permit another to use a motor vehicle or trailer on a road which might for whatever reason, involve a danger of injury to any person”.
It could be argued that driving with 1 headlight could be classed as the same thing, but how many of us have done that.
I did take the supervisors name and made a note in my diary and told him so. I will be talking to my union rep about it on monday.
For Christs sake ate ye all dopes or what?
Was it a puncture? If so pump the bloody thing and drive to a tyre centre.
Was it a blow out? If so you’ve probably already delivered the passengers with one wheel flat so drive it to a tyre centre.
Do you have a licence? If so drive it to a tyre centre.
Who cares what anyone thinks? Do the right thing and drive it to get it repaired. You are getting paid no?
If both wheels were flat you would have a problem, one wheel is an inconvenience
Union rep lol
Strike Strike Strike
The producers would like to make it clear that no nuns were hurt in the making of this daytime reality show, no buses were written off and no cheeeeldren were made to ignore their electronic screen for more than three seconds.
Jesus wept, i’m so glad i aint the shop steward there, i’d be up before the beak for some heinous act of uncontrollable violence by next weekend.

Is there a busnet
a bus is nowt like a lorry to be fair, apart from it runs on diesel
I hate you Butler
What response would you get off a bus driver if you had a problem with truck ,none
A bus is better than a lorry the cargo walks on/off unless they’re wheelchair bound then a quick dab on the brakes…whoosh they’re gone.
A lot of the smaller buses are built on the same chassiss as a 7.5.tonner.I some times drive Transit and Merc.Sprinter mini-buses.

When a car fails its MOT how many people low-loader it back home to the drive?
