It’s nothing to worry about. The doctor will only go in a couple of inches and in the unlikely event that he needs to use the “rectal expander”, he’ll give you a bit of wood to bite down on first.

Hahaha it’s a good job I’m not tht gullible lads, but what a giggle you gave me

Taffy, just passed my class 1 and got in with a good bunch so go for it. Let me know how you get on and I hope the doctor treats you well and at least has the decency to lube up…

Congrats on passing your class 1, glad u already in with a good bunch, think I will have to sell my soul to the agency demon if I pass
Well lads and lasses I passed my medical( with no internals I may add!) got a bit hairy when blood pressure was taken , but got a green light in the end( I wonder why it was raised■■?) so sending all the stuff off tommorow, hopefully get it back soon then can really get going
Nice one Taff, and so it begins…!!!

Got a phone call today assessment drive is Wednesday 3-7,

Good luck hope it goes well, got much experience without using rear view mirror? I drive a 23ft long, 8ft wide van at the moment so hopefully the transition to class 2 wont be that drastic
Only experience I have is driving a Renault traffic with no rear view, gonna be a bit of a shock but hey what fun
Well today I had my assessment drive, big wake up call, I expected it to be different but wow I was terrible, I hit kerbs, I kept putting the gift in reverse instead of 5th, instructor says I will need 20 hours training, but I don’t think that will still be enough, I’d put so much into becoming a lgv driver, will still give it a go, but being honest I don’t think my heart is in it anymore
Trust me you can get a lot of tuition into 20 hours. In the meantime, dip your interior mirror in the car and get used to using external mirrors. keep your head turning and look into the distance as well as close to.
Best of luck and don’t give up.
I often find myself looking at 2-3 corners ahead when it comes to rural roads around here in sunny (haha) devon. That little skill comes from years of downhill biking through where not looking ahead often results in you ending up face first in a tree!
