I’ve been grooming Ash for months pal! 
I’ve even met the bellend!

So, first shift since passing tomorrow and I’m starting to get really nervous about it! Not sure which motor I’m driving, just know it’s a really long 18tonner and not sure where I’m going until I get there as the run has changed.
I keep trying to tell myself it’s just driving, why am I worrying but you know how it can be!
Has anyone got any last minute tips to calm my nerves?
■■■■■■■ joke of a place that was! Engine overheated after 2 miles and dumped all its water out on the road. Wanted me to drive from Derby to Huddersfield just stopping off every now and again to top up with water! Motor was a 54 plate 18t eurocargo. Had 750000 clicks on it which didn’t bother me but the state of it was shall we say well used and abused. All seemed OK when I left his yard and water and fluids checked out fine. Owner came out to me drove it back to the hard and I took his van back. Needless to say I shall not be going back even though he asked me to go in tomorrow. He wanted me to work through all breaks etc and I can tell I was just having the ■■■■ taken out of me. Hope my licence comes through soon so I can get on with the agency!

It was mate. I was willing to let some things go but the whole thing made me feel uneasy! Was worth checking out and I’m still thankful I was given the heads up

Ye was 29th I rang them on Monday said I needed my licence back for the cpc test for no later than Friday she checked on computer said it wasn’t there and to ring back Thursday but it was updated yesterday so think they did it for me cause I rang
Then you’ve got the joy of waiting for the DQC after that too. I’ve got to wait for both to come through and sick of waiting now. I’m going to give them until the end of today and then I will call them and cry poverty and desperation lol

I need money but not at any cost and I reckon within a week VOSA would have done me lol
It’s really bad that this has ended up badly. Glad I mentioned that I didn’t know this operator otherwise I’d feel more than a little guilty.
But you’ll have your licence very soon and you’ll have a lot more scope then.
BTW, you’ve clearly done the right thing.

To be honest Peter the way he runs his ship I would have been more then a little shocked if you had known him!
No need for you or Tracey to feel bad at all, you got a lead and you let me know and I followed it up. I was sceptical myself when I visited him on Monday but I went with benefit of the doubt as he seemed very honest and to the point. I think the reason he wants new drivers is because he thinks he can stand more of a chance of manipulating them.
Only wanted you to know the outcome so other people can give him a wide berth.
I stood a chance with a local skip and tipper firm but they’re insurers want copies of my cards and won’t employ me without. Frustrating that it’s the DVLA and DVSA holding me back at this point

Mine still isn’t showing. Have a chance of another job but they have other candidates to consider and won’t look at my application until they see the cards. ■■■■■■ off with waiting for it now. Every other dealing I’ve had with them has been done pretty quickly but this seems to be taking forever

Just called them now Sam. Got the standard please wait 3 weeks. Told them I’ve already lost out on 1 job and about to lose another which is true and the ever so helpful response is that I should have passed my test sooner! Lol
Lol they are cheeky ■■■■■ the lass who I spoke to said ring back Thurs she said to wait till 2 weeks but it was on the next morning so u might be lucky and they go find it for you after the phone call and do it today check after 9 in morning
