It was painful getting 5 minors but the girlie bar at the end made up for it, and Pete let me set in big beauty so I felt like a big boy, as no doubt I’ll fail that test about 5 times!
Nah mate, It’s Royal Mail I seem to have the most fun with! It’s like we have some sort of secret vendetta against each other where their tiny little vans are in the most annoying places blocking my access, or that I’ve pulled up EXACTLY where they want to be! 
I almost wet myself when one hit a car up the arse indirectly because of me. (A car started to pull out of a side street without looking my way first, then looked my way and stopped. However the post office van driver behind him wasn’t so smart! LOL).

Bored of waiting for my DQC and licence to come back now! Was hoping I would get it back by the end of the week( granted I only passed on Saturday!) looks like I can get some agency work and have put a few applications in at other places but no one will move give me work until the cards come back. So frustrating. Bored as hell say at home waiting now too lol
Same nick and and what is doing my head in even more is I can’t do my mod 4 test till the 18th and then I start c+e traing on the 23rd and I want to go to work now can’t stand any more day time tv lol
I had my mod 4 booked for the day after my original test so wouldn’t have been able to send off my licence while I did my mod 4. Having passed mod 4 before I passed my test means I didn’t have to worry about that. Have work lined up with 2 agencies now so just have to play the waiting game. Keep checking online to see if it is showing there but no luck yet haha
Ha ha I keep checking to and it hasn’t changed I no I got a job yesterday and can’t bloody start till this bloody mod 4 is done I’m gutted should of done the mod 4 the week after my I passed mod 2
Not being naive however as I know that this work the agency have for me probably doesn’t exist, but knowing the contracts that have been mentioned and the companies I am hopeful at least!
And another thing that’s disappointed me, I never got any fireworks off of Rog!!!
Lol as if ya dint get the fireworks and I’m lucky a mate of mine runs a agency and a other mate has been driving for 8 years so he can get me work and my mams best mate husband has been driving for 20 odd years so I could go with him to but do want to find my own work to
Well done nick so glad you have passed, ■■■■ the minors the pass is the only thing that matters mate. Best of luck finding work like it has been said already agencies are a good call for experience but try firms first if you fancy it like I did

So I a rather quick turn of events it looks like I may have secured a job!
A local recycling company has contacted my training provider to say that they were looking specifically for a newly passed driver. I called the boss directly and he has arranged to see me this afternoon with a view to starting ASAP. Importantly he doesn’t mind that my cards aren’t through yet as long as I have my certificates and I’m comfortable with the wage he is offering, and the job is job and knock!
Runs a mix of 7.5t and 18t, wage the same regardless of what you drive. Plenty of overtime available as well
Will let you know how I get on this afternoon!

So I’ve been to see Phil this afternoon and everything checks out like he told me it would, money is fine for me to start on. Not as high as I would like nessecarily but nothing ever will be haha. To be honest I’m just happy for the experience and the chance of anything.
We have decided to do Wednesday to Friday as a paid trial to see how I get on and then we will sit down on the Friday and decide if it is right for both of us.
Has anyone got any particular advice regarding tail swing, other than don’t hit anything obviously!
The rigids I will be driving are between 30 and 32 feet long I believe and one hell of an Arse end on them haha. I like to think of it as an 18t bread wagon!
