cheers! i noticed the tolemans one too, my friends dad used to drive for them out of ipswich, and was one of (i think) 4 drivers hand picked to take some classic cars to monte carlo for auction, the most expensive loads they ever did with a (i think) covert police ■■■■■■ all the way keeping an eye on them!

i will see if i can scan his pics and newspaper clippings one day to put on here

I was with John Manthorpe when I started. Then young Steve ? took over most of Johns fixed body Roadtrains ( roadtrain :unamused:  )
I had a DAF 95 Space cab with a proper sleeper not a pod. 3 axles on the wagon, 2 on the trailer.
I loaded out of Kellogs, Pirelli and Firestone quite often, for France, Italy and Spain occaisionally Germany. Mainly though I was a jack of all loads, picking up anything and going anywhere. I only did Kellogs when the drop bodies where too busy.

I’ve got a few pics of my rig somewhere, they are probably not digital but I’ll have a look. There are quite a few pics we’ve got that we want to put on disc, so if needed I’ll include those  .

Cool.

I did about 2 months with john myself. But someone over here where i live was asking on what i drove over there and wanted to see.
