Ban all trucks from lane 2 + 3 etc in roadworks, tough poop if we are all stuck behind a car doing 40 in a 50, we have made our career choice and should accept our fate.

I agree with Toby. The amount of times you see some arse pushing a car millimetres from its back end is unreal.
Yes, we all know the pillock that steam by us into the roadworks then slow down, and it is frustrating and annoying. But we’re supposed to be the professional drivers??
The ones that pass you in the next lane on d/c’s & m/ways then try to take the front of your cab off when they pull in are the ones I love.

Fully agree with you though, would love to hear the explanations from some professionals who do this & explain why they do it.
Bet they would be the first to complain if you or I where driving like that right up the arse of their other half !!

No time is saved by bullying cars or vans do make them go faster in the road works.
The worst offenders i have noticed are parcel/pallet firms in the evenings or late afternoons and Postman Pat drivers with no seat belt and dressed like Stig of the dump or Worzel Gummige.
I have seen a tidy Postie in a van doing local work.

I travel through the 50mph roadworks on the M6 by Stafford every other week. Stay to that limit in lane one bang on 50mph and not too long before some truck comes edging up, which makes not one iota of difference as not getting points on my license because some bell end inadequate lorry driver is terrified of some ponce in their traffic office.
Anyone that deliberately uses the size of their vehicle to intimidate other road users deserves to have their license revoked - no excuses…
What about muppet truck driving colleagues that can’t find their way with or without their sat nav and can’t read a map either?
Yes I work with one such driver who I’m sure will be getting a christmas card from TFL for so generously helping the LLC to turn a healthy profit this year.
Should meet the Traffic Commisioner to explain why they do it .
