You know the ones - you go to the bother of being polite and accommodating to make their life easier - they then accelerate up your inside and match your speed.
This way of dealing with them seems to be pretty effective:

I just let them get on with it and drop in behind, if they want to be pig ignorant low lifes than that’s there look out. If they’re a fair bit quicker on the limiter then it’s not a problem anyway.
I’m sorry but i have stopped moving over for anything to join and i normally get a load of verbal and they normally get my middle finger
But i do find its mostly younger (in there 20s) hgv drivers that keep you out in the middle lane they seem to find it funny

I do the same it seems to work they can blast their horn, flash their lights, wave their arms about all they like, I just ignore them.

Cars are as bad,they dont get the speed up to join the motorway then when you move over they speed up and leave one stranded ,police should use those scaaaaarnia units to catch them and send them for re training.

I’ve stopped moving over too. Fed up with the stupidity of drivers trying to charge up the inside.
Sadly more lorry drivers are doing it too. There seems to be a new breed of driver out there who thinks they owe nothing to anyone. Severe lack of manners is what it comes down to. 
I really wonder if some of these, ever pass a test? It’s about time these people were reported to the Licensing Authorities. I’ve never seen lorry driver’s attitudes to each other, be so bad.

I move over to let HGVs in, even in my car. The ones who don’t thank you or are a ■■■■ about backing off to let you back in I just ignore…

What motorway does this happen on? The 1% of the time I can actually see the driver (due to the other 99% hiding behind their curtains) they usually look over 40. I am 28 and always keep my speed down so they can get back into lane 1, would rather help them in than let them take my cab out due to their middlelanephobia.

if they stay at the side of you…they’re wrong
if they speed up and F off…they’re wrong
if you want them to come on to the carriagway and drop behind you, why bother moving over in the first place ?
The trucker or bus man as I am one expects the driver who has had a courtesy extended to him to let the man drive passed unimpeded.He has not asked for a race or any other willy waving performance.

OR,
when they pull out into lane one near your arse end then wait for you to pull back in, but they dont give you the room to do it and sit there like f-in lemons for a mile waiting for the truck to sprout a jet engine and excellerate to 100mph in an instant!
They also join and sit on your inside when your climbing a hill and seem all supprised when you slow due to the force of gravity, forcing them to slow and pull out into lane 2!
It used to anoy me, now i just laugh at them
