Normally would arrive around midnight
Day 2 and get 4/5 hrs in bed before tipping
Did load swindon one saturday at 2pm
Got the 1900 from poole no sleep As chatting
Then left cherbourg at midnight was tipping lisbon 0700 mondAy
Them parked up in france 1200 tuesday

You are right i would say 95% were doing a dpain a week regadless if vslencia or malaga etc and some big days and big hits put in to achieve it

In week out every month and no mororwAys and waiting to do customs
Cant even do it now with digi etc and 90 hrs enforced with motorways etc
But yhe job was a crack then and would do irun in a shift
Sleep papers in morning and gone
Then coming home load valencia /murcia customs around there then next stop cherbourg
Use to use the stena a bit in to soton
They liked that weighbridge there and try telling the spanish no only 38t lol
Scunthorpe to Knaresborough, and return ,Scunthorpe to Bromsgrove , Bromsgrove to Pershore ,Pershore to Scunthorpe. Tip twice 810kms.
Was in the mid 80’s with a “B” series ERF 8 wheeler, 180 Gardner DB6 speed, and she never missed a beat .
Let’s just say it was a good 10 hrs.with nowt to spare, and I knew I’d done it.

last week did london to thurso 660 miles
Napoli to chamonix enough for me ,next day chamonix to Sheffield in my pick up though so obviously doesn’t count ! I’ve done bigger days but really can’t remember them .
