Most miles driven in a day?

Intrested to know what was the most amount of miles anyone has ever driven in a single day ? in a truck, van or car.

most I have clocked up in one day so far is 554 miles over about 10 hours. I can remember on the last leg of the drive the tiredness seemed to hit me like a brick wall all of a sudden as well. seemed like one moment I felt alright the next I was hanging off the steering wheel.

Roughly 600 in the car , 700 km in truck

In a transit van…Newcastle - chester - heathrow - Ipswich - Newcastle about 750 miles, I think. In a truck…Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada to Newark, New Jersey, USA, 650 miles as a single driver (not legal) and Toronto to Charlottetown PEI which is about 1,000 miles, double manned.

mansfield/leeds/nuneaton/munich ■■■■■■ van :grimacing:

Sprinter van Stockton on Tees to Zona Franca Barcelona, 1200 miles, 22 hours, 80 ■■■■!

depends what you call a day, is it a normal 13/15 or as in 24 hrs in a day, used to always drive Barcelona to Dover in one hit ( apart from a coffee and fuel stop, think that was about 1500 miles.

Silly thing to do may as well titled it bring on the bull shine!!!

It was back in the 70`s when everyone was doing it, no mobile phones, no digi tacho, but the money was good…

Have a look here.

most amount driven in one sitting from start to finish with no sleep I gess would be a better way of putting it. as many people will have done a drive over night or beyond the time of a 15. i stoped for a leak and cupa on my longest. can’t say I got throw 80 ■■■■ thow ! maybe 20 at a push and there were roll ups too, all rolled while on the hop :sunglasses:

Done about 1,000 miles several times in me car in a 24 hr period Bristol to South of France or Costa Brava and in a truck ain’t got a clue.

zona franca to calais 1330km according to google maps

I bought an audi from köln, started driving in the afternoon, got to marijampole, lithuania, before falling asleep at the break of dawn and veering into the crash barrier. almost 1500km.

as far as driving a lorry goes, learned a good lesson from the trip to köln - if you’re nodding then it’s time for a nap, so no records for me thank you very much.

856kms in ten hour drive in France , always do 800 plus in france on the autoroutes

Wolverhampton to Torquay and 2 drops in Plymouth then back to sunny wolvo.
738km in 9 hr 54 bit of a dash but needed to be back.

Manchester to Debrecen, Hungary. 2300k. Double manned a Sprinter van, 4 hrs driving, 4 hrs rest and we stopped 3 times, once on the ferry, once nr Frankfurt on the autobahn and again once we had crossed the border between Austria & Hungary. Took just over 29 hours, and the van had 6 people in it and a load of musical equipment. I was in a band with a Hungarian singer & we were doing a weeks worth of gigs over there. Only 2 of us were insured to drive the van hence the double manning…great fun but very tiring, especially driving through Budapest at evening rush hour on the wrong side of the road after a 25 hour trip!

Done about 700km today in 10hr2mins driving, not bad for a Friday.

I’m shipping into Ireland with a load so needed to get to the port, 2 mins is hardly the end of the world although some would lead you to believe it is.
