Most boring road in Europe

C’mon guys, lets have your opinion of the most mind numbing road, or piece of road in Europe.

For me, it’s the A10 between Poitier & Bordeaux, I always used the N10 by choice irrespective of the toll costs. The thought of a box of sleeping pills was more attractive than driving that bit of French paege!!

Over to you people.

From Reims, past Sommesous services and the E40 past Liege

The Brussels Ring at 5.00pm could get pretty tedious

Any French motorway during the day, at night they are much more exciting at especially in a fast car

It all depends how often you drive it tho!
I spent week in week out going from Calais to Basel St. Louis and it was the most boring route in the world ever because you knew it, yet someone driving it for the first time might love it!

But the most boring road in Europe IMO is the bit from Brussels to Jabekke, it just seems to drag on forever and ever, especially on the way home!

Any road to and from Bergen op Zoom. It’s making me nod off now just thinking about it…

Brussels to Aachen E40 for me now used to dislike the A3 Frankfurt to Suben but not been that way for years except the autohof @ and I can’t remember it about exit 70 something, shell

Junc 70 must be Bieblried ish, tight on top of the cross with the A7.
J 66 is Wertheim and Geiselwind is 75 I think.
That stretch of road is roadworks virtually all the way now (67 - 70).

Sommesous to Calais it’s never ending when you are on your way home.

I spent about 3 years doing Swiss most weeks and Belgium for me was probably the worst bit. Earlier on I prefered the Namur to Lux stretch but after the day time over taking ban came in that just became intollerable. For me the bit which dragged the most was the corridor from the Belgian border back to the boat on the way home.
Now that Im in Canada there are plenty of very long and very boring roads to drive down, but rather that than be stuck in the traffic of Massachussetts or Connecticut heading for New York which makes the driving abilities of European car drivers look first class.

A31 Toul - Dijon

Forest road :smiling_imp:

All of the above, except the Bergen op Zoom road, never been there

Reims to Calais is neverending its the French M11

Reims to Calais is never ending its the French M40

Reims to Calais never ending - its the French M20.

Easy brussels to luxembourg, bumpy and tedious and long…

Reims to Calais is never ending - it’s the French M4

Surely it has to be the ‘new’ corridor, especially on a cold rainy and windswept night?
IMHO, the ‘old’ corridor with the time limit was much more fun than new one. :grimacing:

What? Brussel-Liege-Aachen most boring? Definitely not, potholes keep you busy! Especially around Liege.
But have to agree Belgian motorways are damned boring, especially east of Brussels. Namur-Lux or even Liege-Lux are about the most exciting stretches you can find there.
German A3 is OK until you pass Regensburg, or Degendorf, you’re nearly in Austria but not yet…not yet…not yet… Same the other way, Austrian A8 past Wels, not yet in DE…not yet…exit 74, autohof suben, that’s the border… [beeeep] not yet…
But defo the longest one is A16 Belgian border to Dunkerque port, you’re in Dunkerque but car ferry - port rapide still straight on!
