I also have loads of kits still in boxes from the 80’s,never got round to starting them, and they’ll probably stay there too what with shaky hands and failing eyesight!

I have had one or two offers for them, some of them have still got the cellophane on,never been opened, but like a lot of old stuff I have,I’m loathed to get rid of them.Much to my wife’s disgust!
I have several Heller tilt and fridge trailer kits,as well as a 141 Scania.
aww shame i was not too far from your home town the other day, was in angleur just outside liege…pete
Hi all thought i would throw on some piccys of the model i’ve just finished.
Hope you like them.
I have wandered onto this thread having never seen anything like this before, but this is amazing. I built my kiddies a fully sceniced-up model railway on an 8x4’ board when they were born and I thought that was good but these models blow simply blow it out of the water.
they are fantastic thats for sure…
Hi i like very much to look at all the fantastic work that the moddler can do!
I’m sure you will enjoy to look at this collection:

A collector in France use to collect all the truck kit in 1:24 in closed boxes. You will find the Italeri production as well as all the american ones (AMT Monogram…) !
Enjoy

they are all brill but why dont you make a scale piece of road to stand them on, they looked real but even i know you can not get a 44 tonner on a table …well done
some of my 1/50 scale models
my old employer walsh western model
his is 1/50 scale walsh western scanias
heres a pic of my italeri streamline done up with my own name
wow what a fantastic thread…i’ll have to dig out my pictures of my italeri models
Wincanton never had one of these!
one thing i have wondered is why do they always always make them as left hookers?
also, how do you do your own liveries? is it a staedy hand and a good eye for detail or do you somehow print it and stick it on?
im thinking of making one for work, in works colours, in my spare time just a sort of way to say thank you for giving me the break into this industry…(some people may think this might be sad but i like doing things like that!)
THERES A CROWD CALLED KFS WHO DO ALOT OF RIGHT HAND DASHBOARDS FOR THE VERIOUS TRUCKS,M&G MOULDINGS ARE ANOTHER CROWD ALSO.IT IS STRANGE THAT THEY DON’T DO BOTH.
I GET MY DECALS DONE BY A BLOKE CALLED MARK MAGUIRE WHO WAS FORMALLY OF TRUCKING FIRM MAGUIRES OF CHELTENHAM.I HAVE BOUGHT MOST OF MINE OFF HIM 1/50 & 1/24 SCALE.
MINE ARE ORIGINALLY BLAIRS OF N IRE WITH THE NAME CHANGED TO MY OWN.ITS A GREAT HOBBY.I MUST HAVE 20-30 MOSTLY SCANIAS
141/142/143 AND 144S ALL TO BE DONE AND SOME FRIDGES TILTS ALSO.
