I do my tires with the bench grinder. It only takes a few seconds each one.
If you grind a hole through the tire you can glue the criss cross section of TV coax to it and it looks like the cords of the tire poking out.
You can get tires form Auslowe, Kit Forum Services, Model makers resources. Hinze has them as well. or trawl Ebay on the 1/24 model section.
Some good looking builds there CWM…

No mate, I was only home for the night, so no time to do anything more than open the box.

Can you build the cab and than put it on the chassis
Im just starting to build a 1/10 6x6 and cant decide whether to use a MAN Kat cab or TATA.
Is there anywhere in the UK for these big cabs as all I can find is over in the states!

You need to use gray primer first. Make sure you have all the chassis together before you paint it, it’s not as easy to stick together after its painted.

So I will have to strip the paint off buy Gray primer and more red paint
I’m home for a long weekend now, paint, glue, an emery board and a craft knife are on my shopping list.
I had planned to use grey primer first, as advised earlier by Jeff (only a couple of pages back in the thread)
I’ll post some pictures of the different stages.

Get some Fairy Power spray, give the chassis a good covering, seel it in a big sandwich bag overnight. The next day you can wash the paint of under the tap with the aid of a an old tooth brush. Let the chassis dry for a few hours then use the primer.
