MODEL TRUCKS

So do i

You may be in with a chance in the speed stakes Irish lorries, I go away for 10-12 days most trips so I’m going to take a while to get this completed.

I may post a diary of sorts, but no promises, I did one of my first trip to Italy and according to Jelliot, I’m still there as I never did the homeward leg

This is where I’m sat now replying to you, obviously I got up to take the pic lol.

Looks like your going up in the world

I’ll do a model of it when (if) I get a bit tasty at the modification thing. They do the VN780 but this is the baby 670, so the bunk isn’t as deep and it has no windows in the lower side panels. I will need to do a fair bit of trimming to make it accurate (or take the photo from a long way away lol)

I would leave that for a while looks a bit hard probably better making a kenworth or peterbilt

Yeah I had a 379 before this Volvo, so I plan to do a replica of that.

I normally pulled reefers, but had a set of b trains behind me in this shot.

And you’ll see that it isn’t Daniel Craig stood in front if you expand the pic, we could be twins though

Them Americans really know how to make big cabs too bad the roads are abit small over here :frowning:

what do you think of the vn volvo’s 2 the american trucks ■■

Very nice gerry always surprised me t cabs didn’t catch on in America

Hi Torun, the VN is a totally different experience to the “proper” American trucks like the 379/W900.

The Volvo is effortless, quiet and soft, whereas the Pete/KW is a big noisy brute.

Think with your head and the Volvo wins every time, but think with your heart and the Pete wins by a mile.

The vn’s must of made a big impact when they were brought out compared to orther American truck manufacturers who had been using the same design for the last 30 or 40 years. Alot of orther modern trucks seem to have took after it like the peterbilt 357 or the international lonestar

Cut him a bit of slack, he’s probably been inhaling to much model glue.

I’m on a K 108 log truck as my daily drive at the moment. We asked the boss if we could get new trucks and were told if we didn’t stop whinging he would replace the whole fleet with Commer Knockers, or Micky Mouse Fodens…

Jeff…
