Well I hit the jackpot, my little bible belt town only has a model shop, located at the back of a paint and wallpaper shop.

Had a look around and found an Italeri 40’ skelly, on the box us a picture of an F12 Globetrotter, so I showed the bloke in there the picture and asked if he could order one, he can, so he’s ordered the flat top F12 for me, $63 and no messing around with PayPal and eBay. I’m well pleased :sunglasses:

Start on the Skely trailer but don’t glue the front axle on until it’s on the back of the F12. You’ll need to change the trailer hubs as the ones that are on it are drive hubs. It probably won’t bother you to much at the moment but in a few years you’ll regret it. Just cut them of before you glue the wheels together and fit resin hub. Auslowe, M&G, and Model Makers, all do them, I thinks Jan has them as well, If you can’t find them PM me and I’ll sort you out.

Received the last TMW from Traplet this morning quite handy as 212 was the last in my years subs. I wont be renewing till I see how this new lot perform their website does nothing to inspire anybody. Eddie.

I noticed the drive axle hubs on the trailers, it would mess with my melon, so I will be sorting those out.

I’m thinking about doing a copy of the F12 I used to drive, for that I’d need a step frame box or a spreadaxle tilt, so the jury’s out on the trailer, I even did a bit of dock work with it, so a flat with a coil on would work, but then I would need super singles to be authentic, if I’ve got to mess around with hubs, I may as well go the whole hog and change the wheels too.

First things first though, I have to build the F12, that’s going to be enough of a challenge for my inexperienced sausage fingers as it is.

Well the xf isn’t coming :smiling_imp: so just go see what the model shop has and look for a volvo or daf anyone got any ideas of one to copy
