they are all 1:50 scale. i think you can get a kit for a 1:24 atki

KIT FORM SERVICES (KFS) DOES THEM ALONG WITH THE F88,THEY ALSO DO A CHASSIS

my first post on this thread, here is one i am currently still working on, it is a copy of one of my trucks, well, the livery is

there are some things left to do, such as the reg plates, the headlight lenses and some other bits and pieces.

i started this kit a few yeas ago, with the intention of doing it in a colour of a company that i used to work for before i went self employed, i am also in the process of doing a 45 foot curtainsider to go with it.

at some point, i am planning on doing a copy of Big Blue

that will take some doing, cutting the cab panels up and joining them together, i may even be tempted to try and make it a 6x2, it is a shame that Italeri don’t do a 6x2 DAF chassis and also that the chassis now is a modular one all in one piece with no engine to make :imp:

Hi David,

I found the atki cab on KFS, but cant seem to find the chassis you mention? could it have been discontinued? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Regards, Chris.

THE DAF LOOKS WELL,KFS M&G OR MODELLTRUCKSANDPARTS.AT HAVE ALOT OF ACCS IF U NEED THEM
I HAVE ONE OF THESE JUST A BIT OF TIDYING TO BE DONE AND AN R SERIES JUST PRIMED PAINTING IT TOMORROW.WILL POST PICS WHEN I HAVE FINISHED
CHEERS
DAVID

some more pics of the DAF XF and the trailer

the only things that need doing on it now is the registraion plates :sunglasses:

and this is a picture of the original truck

some from a few years ago

this Volvo FH16 520 was my first attempt with an airbrush for the paint, the colour was a mix of Metallic Red and a plain Blue, i used a little too much blue in the mix, but i was happy with the resulting colour

this model was made in 1997 and it still looks good today :sunglasses:

The Kenworth Aerodyne should have been white, but i thought it would look better in silver

got lazy and never painted this one

plenty of time and effort into this one, the air intake stacks were a real pain to make stay on :smiling_imp:

Not bad at all there. On the DAF you could have changed the steering lol.

Its quite easy to make a 6 legger. you just need to cut the chassis and lengthen it and add an axle. If you don’t want to do it yourself you can get kits for some motors from KFS or M&G where you can also get right handed dashes :smiling_imp:

Come and see us on the TMW forum, you can get loads of help and advice there forum.truckmodelworld.com

Thanks for the tips.

i am going to do a RHD conversion on the current DAF that i am doing

unfortunately, KFS do not do a 6x2 conversion for the DAF  , and i could not find one from M&G either

the one i am currently doing will get the RHD conversion and possibly (not definate yet) will try a 6x2, if that all goes well, i will be attempting a Big Blue :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

ok heres the latest work in progress from me.

Not my normal scale, normally do 1/50 but having a play with the “darkside” 1/24, so this is only my 2nd one !

hope you like, not quite finished yet
