Yeah cheers Dave, but aren’t they all 1/50?
Henry, reference the dump trailer, Kings from Scotland used similar types although the livery was the same as the Tarmac colours I used for the Leyland Buffalo seen below. E.E.C Quarries also used them but I’m not sure of the colours, I have a Black and White picture that shows either a White or Yellow cab and possibly Red body. I also remember ARC used them. The trailers were mainly used in Quarry work. However in this country they would not have been used with a bonneted tractor, during the time of their use the UK truck was mainly forward control or cab over engine (coe) to use the American term. Our conventional type tractors were used on heavier work, Scammells, Thornycrofts etc. Franky.

If that Leyland is a model then you did an excellent job of weathering it.

Another blast from the past…
Sorry to be pedantic but, the registration on this should be a bit older, that’s a MK1 F12 judging by the round tanks, the last of them would’ve been on an A plate, still it’s a good job & much better than my cornflake packet & loo roll efforts
LOL yes its now an X reg.
wolfie he has them in 1/50 and 1/24 scales 6.19 euro plus (2 postage approx)
cheers
david

Just a quick question guys, is the new Italeri truck accessory kit #3854 in shops yet?
NO NOT SO FAR NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE YET OR WHATS IN IT.THE DUM/GRAVEL TRAILER IS FINALLY OUT
32.50 EURO FROM HEINZ AT MODELLTRUCKANDPARTS.AT
I HOPE ITS A GOOD ACCS BOX
OK so here is my well loved FL10.
I had about given up hope of ever building this one but I was lucky to get a transkit off a kind person.
It would be fair to say that this build was errr ‘challenging’ in places lol. I haven’t added the air deflector cos although its included in the transkit, none of the surrounding parts are nor do the donor kit parts fit so I’ve left it off. I need to add some susies and she’ll do. I had a bit of trouble with the paint job and the pinstripes are too thick so it’ll never be a show winner but I have a model of my truck.
Its a bit poignant cos Jim Beresford who I promised this model to for years died in March and didn’t see it. RIP mate.
