Yes, stick a Merc star on the cam itll double in price, but I cant see glass mirrors being standard fitting much longer.
Good/Bad or just “different” they will be here to stay.

Mm, looking at a screen all-day, isn’t there a elf’s n hats about that, then how do colour blind people manage, and those who struggle with perception on a computer game., And what’s the refresh rate of the screen, could affect people with no previous know of epilepsy.
But highly paid boffins worked all that out.Apart from the obvious fact there’s no blind spot now there’s no mirrors I cannot work out what else is beneficial to having this gadget.
I agree, I can’t see the point in them. Just because they can be done doesn’t mean they should be used.
I saw recently that one company had to have a motor recovered, not because of massive engine failure or a gearbox chucking it but because the mirrors stopped working. Unbelievable.
Personally I’d rather stick to the older stuff, the less tech the better. Took one of our 164s yesterday as my 730 was in for pre MOT, would rather keep the 4 series all the time, can’t improve on perfection.

Had to get a full mirror assembly for an actros 4 a couple of months ago, not much change out of 450quid ! And that didn’t include the covers either…
