I’ve got a fuel card, I was just curious to see if I could get back, some of the lads say you can make it up there and back but I’m not so sure!

Why risk it though? It’ll be you explaining why there’s a call out and a delay because you’ve ran dry. The “lads” won’t give two tosses.
It’s not often I’ve got to fuel on route but when I do they ask us to keep it to just about what we need so it can be filled with our own stuff back in the yard to keep costs down.

This is a joke surely?
Put some fuel in and stop being a nit. If you don’t make it and run out it’s normally not just a case of putting some in and off you go…
If you work for a small company, where it matters…
Check the truck’s average mpg. Check your route back to the depot. Now you know how many litres you need to complete the journey, add 30L for wiggle room.
If it’s a big company and/or you don’t care…
Pull into appropriate fuel station. Brim the tank.

Anyone know roughly how much milage you get out of a full tank of Diesel in a G280 Scania?
I only ask as I’ve been up to Scotland and parked up 200 miles from depot with the fuel indicator just above the red.
Will I have enough? How much do I spend to put in if needed?
Noob post
Cheers

Take my advice “Biglew” & put some fuel in, I have been in the haulage game all my life & now retired at 83 years old, So my advice is never trust fuel gauges, They are never correct, The shape of the fuel tanks differ from vehicle to vehicle, Thats my oppinion of course, Regards Larry.
I’m with Larry put fuel in and get back. 100 litres at a minimum. Never trust a gauge, don’t believe what your colleagues tell you as they won’t be getting a telling off when you run out.

What is the world coming to ffs
Is it coming out your pocket?
No so who cares.
You should have a rough idea.
I’d go for 100l keeps it a round figure . And if need more just stop again.
