Microlise??

I don’t really give a one about it tbh, as I said I must be inadvertantly doing it right and how they want it done, because nowt has been said to me so far.
But even so I would not care about it as much as some of you lot anyway :unamused: , thing is I have friends…and a woman.

And as for Jimbo’s post about the absolute ■■■■ who buys his own fuel to fiddle the results to make him look good :open_mouth: seriously?? …for once I’m ■■■■ speechless, I thought I’d heard absolutely everything about how pig sh thick some drivers are, but this guy takes it to another level. :open_mouth:

Not a new thing either. Knew one employed guy with a V8 Scania who used to drop a bit of cherry into the tank to improve the figures, and ensure he kept the truck…
Good job he was never dipped!

Our driver trainer has told us all that anything over what the vehicle is limited to i.e. 50 mph, 52 mph or 56 mph is against the law and we will be prosecuted! :unamused:
I told him he was wrong and he hasn’t spoken to me in a year but I’ve not been spoken to about doing 60 odd ish downhill! :open_mouth:

There’s a similar memo at one of our depots I go to, states if we do more than 96.6mph or something for more than 15 seconds they have to report it to the dvsa or some other similar body, luckily my depot aren’t as fussy, I regularly let it run over until my arse starts twitching

I honestly believe driver trainers & the like make stuff up to scare drivers into complying to practises that suit them & their figures. I was speaking to a bloke the other day who swore blind the DVSA charged you £30 per pallet you didn’t strap, utter nonsense but it’s what his place had told him. Then you have Stobarts and their brainwashing re: POA etc.

yup robroy .its true came in the yard as usual on a Thursday evening (after office had gone) and there he was with a 25lt drum ,I thought o its bonus time(taking it out ) but he was putting it in!!!. He didn’t even try to hide it as I was just a new Canadian and the office didn’t bother with what I said.

That just about says everything we need to know in a nutshell, about these clowns who have jobs created for them. :unamused:

Think I would have asked the driver trainer to point that out in law.

Just sounds like a load of willy waving to me.

Ken.

Thing is mate many drivers are gullible enough to believe any bloody thing they are told, and too thick to see the real agenda, that agenda being to keep you down and in your place.

Just look at the clowns on this forum, who come on here defending driver facing in cab cameras for instance, …regurgitating the corporate dog ■■■■ they are fed, telling us the cameras are ‘‘There for OUR own good’’ and that… ‘‘If you aint doing anything wrong, what have you to worry about’’. I mean, ffs. :unamused:

These pillocks are just as responsible with their blind subservience :unamused: , than the new generation of micro managers, for ■■■■ ing the job up to what it has become today. :imp:

I seem to remember someone saying it was exactly 60mph, not sure though cause I ignore it and regularly overrun

60mph!!! Think yourself lucky. Done my latest dcpc session on Wednesday and part of it was on how our telematics (Seven Eye, not Microlise) system works. We are classed as overspeeding at 56.5mph, so we can’t even let it overrun to the legal 60mph limit on motorways. Apparently our insurance company gets a monthly driving report on every driver too. At one of our other depots, 2 drivers were asked to resign due to the insurance company saying they wouldn’t insure them to drive our vehicles anymore due to their constant poor telemetry reports. They were given plenty of warnings and sent out with driver trainers but still didn’t improve.

Fair enough isn’t. The people paying your wages are asking you to drive in a particular way. Sounds like they were given plenty of chance to change and even offered training, and still refused. Let em go and drive for for tnt fedex tuffnells or Mark Thompson if they want to drive however they like.

Baah

Bump
Has anyone got any recent experience with XPO’s version of Microlise?
I had a week with it a few months ago at a local B&Q depot who seemed OTT with it, where a pot hole scored me 7 points, and the potholed riddled road near the depot somehow scored me 21 points and a debrief chat with the line manager.
So a change of site for the same Co and a few month regular limping for them and all was ok, now they’re rolling it out at the new place, however it seems I’ve reached a new high score today of 47!! Albeit with the aid of the stop/start rush hour traffic on the A14.

What’s the difference between all this and that older system we used to have in our cabs that you had to a put a seperate card in for?

You get marked down for things like over-revving, harsh braking, and not using the cruise enough…

We’ve got it on the fleet at our place. I’ve got an app on my phone so you can see how your doing. Supposedly I’ve had 4 harsh corners this week. On the app it shows you on the map where these were recorded and this is why I got the app because I thought I was getting a lot. 3 out of the 4 this week are in a straight line on the motorway. Only 1 is actually on a corner. What a load of BS.

Hard to keep the unit straight line when watching tv especially at the ■■■■■ bits. Rumble strip often wakes me up. Whoever invented them should get a pat on the back.

All the ‘eco driving’ stuff is just the start of things with microlise. We use the Microlise tablets in the cabs for defecting reporting, our manifests etc etc. No paperwork from the office for anything except DGNs, it’s all on Microlise.
