These new units arrived yesterday. They have some 2005 plated 85s so maybe they are to replace them. If theyre not then theres going to be some unhappy drivers who have been used to their fh12 globetrotter xl or daf xf super space cabs.
might not be the biggest but theres plenty of storage and headroom and the bunks very ■■■■■
I’ve always liked the look of the 85…
yeah I like the look of the spacecab CFs too
Trucks a truck that brings in a wage. Look smart though

i’d go with that.
don’t get me wrong, if i could get a brand new all singing, all dancing wagon i would.
but i’m just changing jobs, and will be going into an 04 plate daf, hvn’t seen it yet, but guessing its abit tatty
but a full day on the inside to get it upto my standards, and it will be fine, and it pays alot more than the last job.
had a look at a merc atego basic cab, mattress was paper thin and no room so i think the daf would be miles better i went from a 95 to a cf and apart from a wider bunk in the 95 there isnt much to seperate them
Im very much into the “big trucks”, but them cf’s are actually a really decent truck to night out in and to drive aswell, much better than the massively overrated premium on both counts.
i went from a xf ssc in last job to a mix of cf’s and highlines. both are good cabs to do 4/5 nights out in. plus im more than happy to have 12 days at home a month instead of being cab happy somewhere
Just going on local work and maybe the odd night out, supposed to be a few SSCs coming for trampers.
Great trucks imho …engine hump can be a pain sometimes , but once used to it , theres no probs !
Plenty of storage etc , and the bunks too comfy
Give me a CF over a Volvo any day…
I was lumbered with a new CF for a week and a bit a few years back. It was a hire truck and I must admit I hated every minute of driving it… Horrible driving position, felt like I was sat down really low, but then I’d been on the XF a while so maybe that explains it!!! Just reminded me of a Volvo FL10, the worst thing I’ve driven ever !!!
saw this one at nisa stoke yesterday
The CF is a lot better than other basic models such as the Atego or the bottom end MAN for instance. The point I was making is that they are a come down from an XF SSC or an FH12 GTXL. I was driving a space cab XF before Christmas for a few weeks and then switched to a CF and you certainly notice the drop in quality (and the thinner cab for sure !). At least they are buying new trucks and not plodding along with the 55 and 57 plates.
Why have they moved away from Scania ? .
Will these still pass me doing about 75mph?

I should imagine they’d be ■■■■■■ off if they live in them all week.
They have them on the transport side of the company, not the refrigeration side (although now and again they will pull fridges) and Paul, not 1 McBurneys truck goes over 56 unless downhill. Mcburneys has far as I’ve known them have always been strictly legal, but that’s in my experience, maybe you know more ?
