They have them on the transport side of the company, not the refrigeration side (although now and again they will pull fridges) and Paul, not 1 McBurneys truck goes over 56 unless downhill. Mcburneys has far as I’ve known them have always been strictly legal, but that’s in my experience, maybe you know more ?
i drove for the parcel delivery wing ,bondelivery and your right EVERYTHING by the book ,my truck ran at 52mph although some of the others reached a heady 54mph
100% legal any less and your out the gate. Great people to work for though. Trampers are not going to be given those dafs, they’ll have Globetrotter XLs or SSCs.
This is my one

Why have they moved away from Scania ? .
Prob 'cos they’re rather overpriced for what they are. Badge loyalty isn’t always the best way to a better profit.

lol dunno how long you’ve been there but several scanias are running at more than 56 and as for legal yes they are now however i’d say that their subbies would beg to differ!!!

Your talking a different kettle of fish there though. If a subbie decides to run bent it’s their porogotive, trouble is it’ll make McBurney’s look bad by association. Everything I’ve seen says that the company themselves run things by the book.
