I saw you on wednesday m8 at the last minute, scania does look well pal,m62 nr leeds at dinner time going west.

Wow. Pish post alert. Spend half my day passing irish motors.

Everyone goes on about how quick Irish are and Scott’s all old news many slowed down. My motor is a flyer and pawe them for instance done around 2500km mostly 40t plus and not been passed all week even running up m6 and m74. Mcburnys ain’t slow but they don’t spend majority of there time in middle lane.

if a driver takes a trailer out thats bolloxed whos fault that, not mcburneys

they used to drop them in the depot in Bradford and we’re not talking about scratches etc. Bald tyres, broken trailer brake switches, air leaks etc.
luckily we only had to put them on a bay and take them off again.

Any McBurneys based in Scotland

Stranraer. Not sure if they have trucks anywhere else. Good lads driving for them but the rate is bad because there is nothing else in the area. I would be careful though. A certain supermarket is supposedly looking for decker experienced drivers for a specific run. Currently it is McBurneys doing that run pulling the deckers do it sounds like the may be losing yet another contract from this area

they must have been going the other way ffs…if your in an irish truck, theres not much from the uk will pass you, apart from the occasional jock on fish,

There are plenty of Pallet hub deckers doing trunks pass me on the M6/A1 and I’m flat out in a Sawyers TGX480 :exclamation: :exclamation:

Birds,Carna and McBurney they fly past me,I’d hazard at a guess they’re doing 83
They go like the clappers, they go like f**k,have you ever overtaken an Irish truck ? :stuck_out_tongue:

I over took a McB truck few months ago on the M9, our truck are limited to 50-52mph.

Got a few miles down the M8… and it hurtled past me like a express train!!!

Might have been covered before on here, but Why are Irish trucker all so quick? is it so they don’t miss the ferry? and do the local trucks in Ireland go about like stink?

the answer to your questions would be as follows… cos even when your not on the wire, then most would have the limiter set to 60 or 62 mph and show 56…(keeps the vosa man happy) .most who are working for subbies or the normal hooligans are working for pish trip money and so long as you don’t sleep, then its good dosh.no matter what speed you can do flat out, then all you will get from the traffic office is,keep her lit, your late for the boat, your booked in to load after your tipped, and you need to make the boat back out later, etcetc…and yes,the locals would be able to crack on a bit as well, until you work for the south, then the general rule would be,flat out,and slow down a wee bit going through the towns,.some of the bigger more legit names run legal, but lots just get on with it and crack on…its sometimes vosa time now and then at the ferry terminals in the north, but mostly its just flat to the mat if you wish, very few speed cameras, nothing at all like England.(thank ā– ā– ā– )

Why would they lose deckers under the bridge at maybole? Most of us manage to get a decker through

Cowboy subbies are going to be a thing of the past over the next few years(in the UK at least) as the ANPR cameras are ā€œall seeing all knowingā€ :exclamation: :exclamation:
Look at the amount of them about NI now :exclamation: :exclamation:

Mate was stopped by big PSNI operation on Dargan Rd Belfast docks 2weeks ago, the Peeler who got into his cab told him they’d been there for only 2hrs and total so far was SEVEN trucks running with a digi card in head unit that didn’t match up to the person driving the wagon :exclamation: :exclamation: :unamused:

Haven’t seen a ā€˜ā€˜quick’’ McBurney in a long time. Polar opposite in fact. They are more like trolley dollies these days.

Kevwall:
I live in Liverpool and don’t seem to know one person that works for them and every one I meet out on the road seems to be irish, do they just get Irish lads over even to work over in the yards over here?

I work there . And most lads there are local . Few Irish boys who live in Liverpool aswell .
