McBurney

Evening Gents (and ladies)

Does anyone know anything about McBurney Refrigeration?

Rates, type of work, are they good to their drivers etc

Many thanks

Not good at all . Jobs good . Staff are great . They get you back when you need to an start when you want . But wages are crap . Easy enough to get your hours in . So not bad at the end of the week .easy work . Lots of sitting and waiting

Its probably the MacBurneys subbies you will find that are the quicker ones. All the ones i drove where 56MPH.

Any McBurneys based in Scotland

the units may be good but all the trailers I have had anything to do with have been rubbish.

They cant keep tabs on the trailer condition ,there dotted all over the place and used by that many subbys etc ,fridges are the worst for damage, the walking floors tend to stop with the same unit most of the time,

Fair enough, I didn’t realise that VOSA would accept that as an excuse.

Why can vosa do you for having a scratch or dint on a trailer now, :open_mouth: ,if you find a trailer with a defect on it you ring up and they send a fitter out to fix it…if a driver takes a trailer out thats bolloxed whos fault that, not mcburneys

I live in Liverpool and don’t seem to know one person that works for them and every one I meet out on the road seems to be irish, do they just get Irish lads over even to work over in the yards over here?

The fitters come from liverpool and travel hours to fix a breakdown or defect,i had one travel 3hrs to fix a iffy underun bar rather than give the work to somebody else who can make a silly repair price up…i dont work for mcburneys but use lots of their trailers and deal with them all the time ,like whats been said there all good lads who seem happy enough ,i dont know what kind of money their on but i havent heard a bad word or a winge about um from the drivers
