This just ain’t stuck it’s mark&spencer stuck.
Look on the bright side that was better than demolishing the building on the opposite side with the tail sweep.
Quality driving there.
Did Carryfast get an assessment?
Oopsie hired unit as well. I’m gonna say it seeing as no one else has. Agency driver [emoji23]

Nah they’re using their Sat Navs,… it overrides their brain.Sat nav says ‘Right’ …MUST turn right.
If it was me going to different places every day I could understand it may be
but them m&s shops pretty much stop in one place you’d think the drivers be regular blokes .

Even so Dan,.familiar or not…would you have even attempted to get around there.?
Back out ffs or , if it’s busy,.awkward or one way, phone the Old Bill telling them you’ve ■■■■ ed up, and to send a car round, better a delay and ■■■■■■■ a few people off than demolishing a couple of houses .
As the bloke said '‘Common Sense’ .
I’m sure there was a pic doing the rounds in the same area,.a foreigner had tried it and totally wrecked his Euroliner trailer…doesn’t take much btw, they’re as flimsy as ■■■■.
Bit half hearted if you ask me , I’d of kept going , bit like the bloke half way up r/o other week , No that won’t go over ,go on keep going whilst stood well back ha ha

I think common sense was outlawed some while ago
A couple of years ago I did a full day of driver induction with DHL, including an entire hour on Dynamic Risk Assessments . After that particular segment I said to the trainer “Isn’t all that simply common sense?” To which he replied something along the lines of “We’ve found that these ‘skills’ need to be taught”
Hard to argue with him when looking at pics like the one above.
Its doesnt look like its a rear steer trailer, and this could have been a rear steer store only job. Just a guess.
Some of the old city centre M&S stores have to be seen to be believed

Once again Ladies, Gentlemen, Non-Binaries ( apologies if I have left any category out ) I give you…
is it me or is there one hell of an overhang on that trailor looks to me like its the wrong one for the job.
when i was at a different supermarket it was a weekly if not more occurance that a driver would be given the “wrong trailer” for the job. Office bods just left it down to the driver to check all the risk assments to make sure they had the right unit and trailer type

Confession time and I raise the stupidity bar
I made this turn lorry and trailer lightly loaded
the trailer was at 45 degrees bouncing

I’ve been in some tight arsed spots myself in roads like that,.godforsaken rural crap holes in the middle of nowhere, but the worst you do is take out a lump of hedge or grass bank and nobody sees you, and you don’t tell anyone (unless you put it on Trucknet ) but that was in the centre of Colchester ffs.

Looks like a standard 45ft tandem axle.
It doesn’t make a lot of difference it’s 45 foot that has to go round the same corner within the same distance regardless.
It would actually be easier to increase cut in and reduce overhang because it removes the need for the sweep v cut in balancing act and the overhang sweep is totally blind all through the corner.

Ironically an old school A frame wagon and drag will go where artics fear to tread in that regard. The Swiss knew it long ago and I noticed a Spar supermarket A frame outfit obviously made for precisely that type of job in the west country a couple of days ago.Was like going back in time not only thought that no one could drive ( reverse ) the things now but Spar was long gone.
This part of the link with the green party fckwit spouting off against truck driver was a gem too:
"A park and ride system for HGVs – that’s what I would be interested in.”

Yeah it certainly looks like a huge overhang maybe it’s just the angle of the photo?
Rule number 1 in this job, cover ones arse at all times & it’s especially true working for supermarkets. I take great pleasure telling the pointy shoes it’s on the wrong trailer & not going anywhere & yes it’s a daily accurance in some depots. The problems come when the hero’s go for it regardless.

Only a face palm can follow that howler.
