I don’t know for sure, but I’m aware that they are not the best payers!

Don’t know the annual basic but if you can get 3 15’s and a 13 you’ll take around £430 if it falls Monday through Friday, £480 if one day at the weekend is involved, £500-£530 if all weekend involved.

Yes that’s why I said you’ll take, not you’ll earn. Maritime pay is bad, but not stobart bad

There or thereabouts. Not sure what depots do that pattern. I know the trolley dollys at reading and fanny lock do it

Yes, it’s £170 per shift, guaranteed 12 hours, and overtime kicks in if you go over 12 hours. Also, the annual basic includes a payment you receive throughout Nov and Dec for being on call for 2 1/2 hours during 2 of your off shifts. Whether you’re called in or not you receive £50 per on call shift. So that’s £100 extra per week for 2 months.
On top of this there’s extra overtime shifts throughout the year, and a fuel bonus where it’s not impossible to earn £800+ per year. Although you have to be super ■■■■ about green-banding your rev counter to do this.
The guys I know earn around £40k for nightshift 4 on 4 off, and they claim they still have a life outside of work.
What i can tell you is,a few drivers left Walkers Crisps to go to Maritime at Bardon, Leics. One as i know of is back at Walkers within a couple of months, others want to get back. They said the job is crap. They are push push push, though limited to 52mph. Check it well before you commit. In the mean time i will try to find out more. as i retired from Walkers just over a year ago after 46years of Class 1.
Juist to clarify. This is home every day, not tramping ?
Did a week in there last week for a Subby in Manchester depot. One of their drivers told me days,Mon-Fri,no tramping is £525 gross wage for 55hrs. Its made up dinner monies and attendace bonus.

Having done 4 on 4 off on nights I can confirm you most definitely do have a life outside of work. In fact in a year you will work 94 days less a year than someone doing a typical 5 day/night week.

How does that work out for your annual holiday entitlement? Never done that shift pattern but I have heard others say that you end up being a few days short over the guys who do a more traditional shift.

From the few 4 on 4 off jobs I’ve had, I’ve received 20 days holiday.
When you book a block of 4 off, you get 4 off either side too. So in effect, you get 12 days off. Twenty days holiday means 5 blocks of 4 off, which actually translates as 5 blocks of 12 off. So every couple of months you get virtually a fortnight off.
Sounds good, but is that paid time off or unpaid as its part of your four days off?
