A lot of the info posted on here is way off. Wages are reviewed every year and this is just when it happens, it’s not a panic raise because of lack of drivers. The 522 seems like a figure plucked out of thin air by the OP.
I only actually saw the increase in pay this morning while I was still half asleep but the basic was upped by £15 (£435). Then you get £10 meal allowance per day just for turning up (£485). Then whatever night outs you do £23 IIRC which I usually do 4 (£577). On top of that any overtime which is now £11ph after 11 hours and bear in mind you are guaranteed 11 hours per day so if you work 13 hours for 4 days then work 8 on the 5th (total hrs 60) you get paid for 63. As far as OT is concerned I usually average about 8 hours per week so from that £577 it would then be £655. That’s based on Mon-Fri with no weekend working, if you did work Saturday it’s the OT rate for the first 6 hours then £14ph, so if you did 8hrs Saturday on top of that week you’d be looking at £782 assuming you did a night out on the Friday.
Just to add, I don’t know if it’s changed, but if you did a job on the Saturday, then all hours were paid at £14, not just after 6hrs.

kin hellmate im on 600 for 46 hrs mon - fri home every night of which i usually do only half the hours contracted GLAD IM off all that zb
Who’s that for, what location of the UK etc?
Different strokes for different folks of course, some would rather do ‘Brakes / Bidvest’ style work for mega bux for short(ish) hours, whereas I’d rather be a box jockey away Mon - Fri for similar money…
Not that I’m LAZY, I’m willing to do some graft, but those jobs take the ■■■■ and I hated them, hated the way some of the staff at the deliveries would completely ignore you, you’d unload all your frozen, come back and get your chilled, sort it all out so it’s easy to check, and still stand there like a ■■■■ for 15 mins whilst they do something else, and then they might even ask why you’ve not put it in the freezer / fridge. Cheeky buggers
If we were all the same, then the world would be a boring place.

Any speculation or assumption on here about what Maritime or any other Company pay is just pie in the sky,all depends on what the Individual Drivers consider to be a good pay deal compared with what he /she is currently on
Unless you apply, get an interview, and go armed with all the questions, its all 3rd party gossip and rumours which more often than not can be taken with a pinch of salt
There might be different rates on some of the other types of work, but the box jockey work paid the same throughout the company when I was there.
DJC works for them - they bought RCL out - so I think his FACTS would be correct

I was quoted £460 per week + £50 meal allowance in March. £510 per week which I where I got the £102 figure from. I included the meal allowance because the holiday pay rate is suitably higher, so as far as I’m concerned it’s part of your basic.
Seems like there are Maritime drivers on varying pay.
The only way your going to find out is apply and go for the interview then you can ask as many questions as you like and then come to your own conclusion.
I remember talking to one of their drivers and I asked what they was like to work for ?
His reply was
Money was crap and they was a bunch of ar5e holes who couldn’t organise a pee up in a brewery ,
I then asked if its that bad then why the **ck are you still working their then ,
He couldn’t answer me and he just walked off .
So if was me looking to work their
until you hear it from the horses mouth then who knows

There were LOTS like that to be honest.
Some of the staff had bad attitudes, some were the type you’d go for a beer with at night, strange really, you know, how people can be different
Job was a piece of ■■■■ when I was there, lots of sitting around on bays, no rush, kitted out wagons etc. Money wasn’t great, but gave a reasonable living.

Ok, where did £522 come from?
Basic £435 (55hrs)
Meal allowance £50
5 nights home depot £40
Total £525
Apologies £522 was the wrong figure, £525 basic no overtime no nights out.

WILKOS MATE been in beer garden since 4pm started at 11am burrrrrp
Posting that you only work half your contracted hours, giving your employer’s name and making it easy to work out your location is REALLY clever on your part.

5 nights Home Depot £40 ■■ What’s that for??
They pay trampers £8 a night if they don’t go down the road, so basically you get paid £8 to go home and sleep in your own bed. Some people say that’s not eenough to sleep with the Mrs.
Think I will stay where I am!
55 hrs/week (if i wanted that many hours), 4 nights out (if i wanted any nights out) and meal allowance £695 and thats for driving an 18 tonne rigid.
No wonder they can’t get drivers to stay.
I’d be interested to know which you think are good, pm me if you don’t want to say in here
Conan the Librarian .
It would be quicker to list the ■■■■■■■■■■ top of the list is P A Dunwells transport in Immingham, followed by DHL Scunthorpe (NISA), Ryder in Scunthorpe and any other company that has a never ending stream of vacancies, its usually for a good reason.
i have allot of freinds who work for maritime i think it depends allot on what depot you work out of ,they are all milton keynes based and ern very good money they all love the job
Should’ve mentioned, the pay I posted is just for trampers. Day & nights have a higher basic, I can understand nights with a higher basic but not why days are. Don’t know exactly what they’re on but I think days are on around £50 more and nights are on about £50 more than that. I rarely take home less than £550 for what I do though.
As for Saturday pay. It’s standard overtime for the first 6 hours if you’re running in but £14 from the off if you start from your home depot. Not sure why but I think it’s to discourage hanging it out.
When i did container tramping out of felix, it was such a ■■■■ hot job, I probably would have done it for room and board. I was always looking at driving for maritime because their trucks were always the newest.
If you have a good truck and an easy job the pay insignificant. IMO
But if you deliver pigshit for stobarts, nothing’s with that!

I’ve heard that Dunwells aren’t great to work for…so who are the good firms in immingham?
