I belive you put it on the gerabox speed sensor so the tacho thinks your stationary when your actally moving hence doesn’t record any driving time

Put some steel filings in your gearbox oil
Cant remember if i read that in Viz top tips or Take a break.

not Attract / Attract or

these only work on the old heads
and not electronic or digital tachos
they do work on digital tachos
Apart from being illegal, its pretty stupid too!!
The speed sensor from the gear box also sends info to the ECU that controls
your ABS, EBS, & lots of other SAFETY systems on modern trucks.
So if your lucky, VOSA will remove it for you before the central reservation or embankment does.
How did they manage before abs ebs and other safety equitment yet most advoided the central reservation and embankment thus i rest my case !!!
Since the plod have stopped coning off bays at RDC’s 'cos your time is up,
the application of a magnet enables you to leave the premises and find a
nice ■■■■■■■■■■■■ without the truck’s movement interfering with your rest
period.

and meant to say before anyone comments the roads were quieter back then well with the price of fuel at the moment they prob going to be a lot quieter now!!!

It gets you a large fine, up to £2500, and a possible prison sentence of up to 2 years. On the plus side it means you can do loads more work and have enough money to help pay the fine so it’s not all bad.
Or I’ll have a few beers then drive because I know better, will not affect my driving as I’m a great driver, sleep or rest, don’t need that either. If I do cause an accident or kill someone I was just unlucky to get caught.

+1. Its sad but true. Some people do think like that, but seem to think they wont get caught or it will never happen to them.
