Magnet?

It allows you to travel through time

You also need a flux capacitor for that.

Just swap Bertie for a delorean switch

Meals on wheels

hitch:
make sure its dual poled
cos the south /south or north / north ones
dont work as well
basically you need one that attracts and repels
not Attract / Attract or
Repel / Repels
these only work on the old heads
and not electronic or digital tachos

Monopole magnets don’t get invented until Alpha Centuri as far as I know!

Tell me about it, last time I ended up in Iran in 1978 in an F88 and Bertie had melted in the heat.

They are fine if you are running up the M6 to Scotland or down the M1 to London, the problems start when you put them on in Felixstowe or Bridgend. One reason why the middle east lads still buy older trucks with Analogue.

Smoggie89:
What does this do when you put it on tacho ?

Honestly mate if you’re going to ask this on teh interwebs, better you don’t practice “unauthorised manipulation”.

Best keep it honest eh?

Bet that was an experience and a half. Poor Bertie did he survive the trip home though?

Just about. I had to reshape him and fill him with ice.

i get mine from the interweb.

It gets you a heavy fine when you are caught. Just as removing the fuse or bending the needle down on old tachos did … it is traceable and you will get in trouble.
You can’t fix a tacho, digi card or elog no matter what any idiot tells you.
It may seem to you that you are getting away with it but one day your time will come.
We have had a few guys on our company who have logged out completely and carried on to get home and I have told them how stupid it was ony to be told to mind my own beeswax etc … a couple of months later when they get written warnings, loose their bonuses and get a very large fine they see my point. How can anyone justify the movement of a truck from one place to another without being driven ? It matters not what you do, the mileage difference cant be concealed, if the vehicle has GPS devices fitted the difference in log off and log on location cant be hidden.
I remember the bent needle trick getting a guy fired on Transfleet many moons ago. It may show slower speeds or off duty but the inner trace showed every foot of movement and when the card was removed or fuse pulled the diference showed even on something that antiquianted.

you need a
don’t listen to people that tell you it affects the brakes. it dosn’t, but it will show a fault on the dash.
when changing gear, knock it into neutral before changing the range changer. if you knock the range change whilst moving, and in gear, you could end up with it stuck between gears, and [zb] up the box.
there was a rumour going round saying vosa would put iron filings on the sender to see if it was magnetised from regular magnet use. it’s a load of crap. they are slightly magnetic anyway.

But , but , but - I thought these new improved super duper digital tacho’s were going to put an end to people running bent . It all had to stop and all us Irishmen and Taliban had to go to bed at night . Now you lot are telling me that I didn’t have to go to bed in dirty stinking laybys and truckstops that charged stupid prices to sleep in more stinking lorry parks ?

Well considering I did more miles on the wire than off it in the 90’s/2000’s believe me it is.

Even after getting the warrant and 8lb door key treatment at our place and having 3 weeks of cards analyzed by the ministry they found nowt  :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Nothing is unfiddleable [period]

NB I’m a good boy these days though
