Madonna.World tour.Drivers needed

im sure its not 70 euros a day if its shirleys, as they wouldnt work for that, that seems to be an additional rate for helping set up etc, which drivers are never asked for, as they have crew for that, if the tour is that under crewed it will be a complete disaster. the daily rate including your night out will be over £100, or should be. i would of thought they would draught in extra pieter smit drivers, now theres a company not to work for!!!

Their website looks good, spill the beans then

Give them a call Stan, they might still need drivers for this year. The work is “as and when” though.

Harry,

TBF, I`m booked up for the next two weeks, so, its me being nosey :open_mouth:

I like to know who is, and who is`nt good to work for :unamused:

When Euromat mentioned the “not good to work for” bit, me ears pricked up

blokes an ■■■■■■■■ (yes i have met him), pays his poles 50 euros a day, the portugese drivers 75 and the dutch boys get about 120, he will work you to the utter max, one guy who was doing some double driving he wanted to do about 7 flights and drives back to back. he wont employ english blokes anymore cos they cause hassle, he tried not paying some i know, claiming he could only pay into a dutch bank account, what he didnt know was that one of them has a dutch missus, so he promptly got a bank book out and told him to pay it in there!

I’ll bring my tacho repair kit.
Blown fuse, length of wire, and a magnet.

That brought back some memories! I had a posh bit of wire, it had little crocodile clips on each end…

The magnet’s new to me though, would you be able to expand on this?

No, he wouldn’t, not on a public forum anyway.

The magnet, I am told, is applied somewhere on the gearbox, and it switches the tacho off on newer trucks. However, DAF have updated the computer software, and it don’t work on them any more, and VOSA know how to spot them too.
Don’t ask me where, I never found out, and won’t bother either.
Ho hum.
