The lighter side…a nobend of a radio DJ on Real Radio starts mouthing off yesterday (Tuesday) about lorry drivers causing all the road chaos in Central Scotland this week. He reckoned that artic drivers in particular were to blame and should be parked up in such snowy conditions to keep the roads clear for ordinary motorists! Thankfully sanity returned v quickly when a caller who was a driver says to him ‘if there were no trucks on the road today your family would be eating grass mate…yes, the grass that’s under 6 inches of snow in yer front garden currently…so think on and get real!’ Made me laugh, a lot.
.True if you ARE carrying essential supplies, but I bet most of those trucks were empty or loaded with stuff that could have easily waited.
Anything can be an essential supply when said commodity runs out
