To put it in plain English both drivers are still under suspicion or that is all the police are saying at the moment.
What happens in a lot of cases like this one is that the blame is put at 50/50 as quite often both parties were partly to blame.
Maybe not in this one but quite often that is the way it goes.
In which case that’s a system in which an innocent driver can end up being blamed and convicted. It’s obvious in this case that the law isn’t going to get more evidence than that which they’ve got as time goes on.It’s also obvious that both drivers have denied responsibility.Which just leaves the obvious circumstantial eveidence of a massive speed differential and a minibus being hit by the front nearside corner of a truck which has ended up in lane 2 bearing in mind the location where contact was obviously made.In addition to which the minibus driver already seems to have shown himself to be a total muppet who should be off the roads for everyone’s safety and someone who’d probably think nothing of trying to put the blame on an innocent driver to save himself from the prison sentence which should be coming his way.Farnborough Boy has got this one spot on.
I have very good reason to believe the coach driver pulled off the hard shoulder into the path of the hgv.

What is your “very good reason” and are you saying that the minicoach
pulled off the hard shoulder and also crossed the Junction 32 exit slip road ?

That junction is very clearly signposted I have passed it many times either on the main carriageway or coming onto the slip road and then onto the M62 - very clear if you’re looking!!

The minicoach travelled North on the A1 before
hanging a left onto the M62 West.
In doing that, I’m sure that any vehicle, initially, would be
in that J32 exit slip road unless it changed lanes.

It all depends on the definition of clearly signposted. If you mean avoiding the possibility of someone, especially the worst type of thick muppet which seems to fit the description of the mini bus driver, confusing the exit slip road directions with the motorway continuation directions bearing in mind the uk type idea of using the same colour coding for motorway continuation and A road exits.Or differentiating the two sets of directions in good time before reaching the exit slip/motorway seperation road markings assuming that they’re going by that ridiculously placed final sign gantry. Then no.

A very slow moving vehicle driving along the seperation chevron markings on the exit slip and then trying to re join the motorway before or around where they end and where the hard shoulder starts might possibly explain all the circumstances.

For once CF, I agree with you.

After the Minicoach Driver was informed that a probe into his company was
going to take place, he suffered a burglary at his home and much of the
relevant documentation, including Driver Defect Reports and Driver Tachos,
were unfortunately stolen.
Do the authorities still fall for that old chestnut?!

Ever heard that saying" when you’re in a hole stop digging"? Maybe someone ought to tell the minibus driver, the police might be a lot of things but stupid they aint.

No they don’t. He was disqualified indefinitely from holding a
Public Transport Operator Licence.
The “M62 Hen Party Crash” is a separate issue, yet to
be dealt with.
