RIP driver!

Just a bit of an update

Came past the wreckage this moring. Put a shiver through me and even arctic drivers slowing everyone to have a good look. Shame on you.
RIP driver.

I got to 28 Northbound at about 1.25 last night, just before they coned off the carriageway and sent us all off on the A12. Figured it wasn’t good when the radio said they’d shut both sides. It’s easy to get annoyed when stuck in the traffic, or when being diverted but ultimately, everyone getting sent down the A12 last night made it home in the end. RIP to the driver that didn’t.

Just occasionally I think it does people good to have a good look, then realise what’s at stake out there on the road.

RIP indeed, horrible thoughts thinking what it must be like waiting for your dearest to come home from work…sobering.

as above rip driver goes through my wifes mind every day for the past 25 yrs

terrible.
apparently the police had just put in a rolling road block to clear debris from a truck tyre blowout when the accident happened.

according to bbc essex website.

“, What were two large artic’ lorries doing in the third lane of the motorway. All lorries should be restricted to the inside lane, on a 3 lane section, and the first 2 lanes on a 4 lane section. In an attempt to reduce accidents and casualties, caused by lorry drivers, here in France many sections of motorway and dual-carriageways have a strict 80kph limit and no overtaking laws applied. In our area, since it came into force at the beginning of the year we haven’t seen a single accident involving a lorry where we used to see at least one a month before”.

Look at the pictures. They wasnt in lane 3, they are in lane 2. “lane 1” is a filter lane for a different carriageway

The bloke who wrote this story in The Daily Meal is the prick.

Lorries are speed limited to 90km, coaches are limited to 100km. (in the same lanes)

The Junction ahead has a filter which makes up one of your 4 lanes, the next junction is the 2nd lane. If you read the story, there was a rolling road block before this happened, maybe the bloke in the Vodka lorry was on the phone to the Daily Mail.

M25 crash: Huge delays after lorry driver carrying vodka is killed in collision with 2nd truck | Daily Mail Online

It must have been one hell of an impact as either the pin or the 5th wheel on the front truck has broken as the trailer has been shoved right into the back of the cab.

RIP Driver.

Paul

what a stupid comment from ‘bob’ made my blood boil you ■■■!

More likely the cab has gone back Paul, there is only a radiator and a few pipes to stop the main impact, the engine and axle would get a lot of the force, even without the fire this would probably have been a fatal. RIP
