Accident, they’re cleaning up the diesel so might be a while.

Should have been even more clever, gone right at the Harpole roundabout and picked up the A428 to rejoin the Motorway at 18. But note this will only work if you are under 14’ 3"…

I did that Southbound last week, stand to be corrected if my eyes deceived me, but the bridge height is now marked up at 14’, haven’t checked my latest bridge height map but my older one in the house here shows it as 14’ 3".
I hate that section of M1 at the moment, bloody lanes are far too narrow…i know Northants M1 is pretty old now but is it narrower than newer sections, haven’t found other worked section to be quite as pinched for width.

Get off at 15 take the A45 into town, pick up the 508 through town and take a left at the industrial estate, past the Waitrose, take the 5199 all the way to Jct 1 of the A14, it is a narrow road, with a few narrow bridges you go over, not under, but it gets you around the whole mess.

Yep, 14’10" so I had to sit in the Jam upto Weedon.
The whole lots knackered, we’ve got wagons running from MK to the M40-M42 to get to Nottingham.
Good job we’re paid by the hour.
Just took me 4hrs 15 to get to Bradford (should have been around 3 to 3 & a half) so not too bad.
Apparently they are resurfacing the road due to the diesel.
Got told by one of our drivers who was coming s/bound its a Wisemans lorry which has jacknifed closing all 3 lanes
Radio reporting could be shut till 10 pm 
13.00 One of ours just went by heading south & they’re still digging it up.
Can confirm the A428 bridge is 14ft, not 14ft 3in which it used to be before the road was resurfaced. The height warnings have been changed since the Google streetview image was taken. Had to do that a couple of weeks ago when the M1 northbound was shut for roadworks.
Update # 13:45 hrs .# Still closed # resurfacing work underway. Extended Closure . Avoid area.
Queue starts @ J15 and is 2 lanes wall to wall with trucks to J15a to get off.

Came under that bridge today and its now marked as 14’ and its jam packed with traffic
No idea what time it happened, but the cones and queues had started when I went past this morning just after 5.
I came back to Coventry from Dunstable via the M40, better than sitting in stop start traffic for hours !!

Looked like they were resurfacing about 300/400 yards, around 16.30 just after the north bound On ramp J16.
I can’t understand why the shut it from 15a, when everyone could have come off at 16 ■■?
