That’s looking good, the bridges are in & the finish date is Nov 16 (fingers crossed)

Don’t celebrate too soon. They’re due to be back soon for the “M1 19-16 All Lane Running Smart Motorway” upgrade so we’ll maybe get a couple of months off and then they’re back again for another 18 months.
Quite why it couldn’t have all been done at the same time I don’t know. In a few months they’re going to take up all the road markings they’ve just put down, pay a company to hire out cones etc again.
I wish they’d gone from 28 to 30 proper ■■■■■■ off with them 
they just on christmas hols. i’ve been doing heathrow to hucknall and nottingham this week, went m1 on first shift and thought bugger that so m40 m42is the way, didnt see one cone

That stretch is due to be completed in the next few weeks. J29A to 31 is already done with only a bit of coning on a night where they’re just doing the last bits of resurfacing.

No but the M3 has lost its cones between 8-6 just be glad when the rest is done
probably sitting in their works office trying to figure out where to put them next,thinking where they can cause the most problems

For some reason I thought the SM was what they where doing but coming up the M1 today I realised all they have managed to install is an uneven surface and a bloomin purple pipe down the middle.
Don’t worry guys, did you all see the recent spending review? the transport budget has been increased to allow for more roadworks - everywhere!!! 
Are the roadworks coming to the M5 south bound soon around Jcn 5?
