Tude:
I am absolutely disgusted that the infrastructure is being shut down like this.
It has to be time to consider driving to rule, in that we can only drive all the time we have reasonable access to facilities and what I am seeing here is that access being withdrawn through purely commercial considerations and not humane considerations, this surely has to have an affect upon our ability to do our jobs in a secure and healthy and humane way.
I would say that a withdrawal of our services/skills is now reasonable.
What I would do, is take my own food and BLOOD Y cook it my self, not difficult to get a pot, and the double burner stove back out. Go full philp flop, stock the side box up, Didn’t we use to do this before…
No stoves etc allowed at our place…but all trucks have fridges & microwaves fitted as its not 1980 and we’re not trucking to Doha[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
For those that don’t do facebook, basically they are closing until further notice most of the shops in MSA’s, i think 30 are closing.[emoji2959][emoji2959]

I have been in email contact with Moto about this, here’s their reply…
During these challenging times, we are doing all we can to support you as you make essential journeys across the UK, keeping our supermarket shelves full, our NHS supplied and our vital services running. As you’ll know, our retail & forecourts shops are open 24/7 for you to obtain fuel, coffee, sandwiches and a sweet treat. Our essential facilities such as our toilets & showers remain open for you to refresh and relax, too.
However, in order to keep our sites running smoothly and safely, we are going to be making some changes which may affect your journey. When you visit us over the coming days and weeks, the M&S stores you’re used to visiting, may be shut. 30% of our M&S stores will remain open throughout this period, however, due to low demand and a high level of wastage, we have had to shut some stores.
We appreciate this takes away more choice from our catering offer and this has not been a decision we have come to lightly, we are looking into further offers for HGV drivers and hope to be able to update you further soon.
