that’s how breaks on double manning work. But if this is happening the OP should remove his card when on break or at least put it in the second driver slot.
Will the 2nd slot record break because I thought it could only record POA and I thought POA can only count as break under multi manning rules ■■

Afaik it does record break if the truck is stationary, but not if it moves, whatever he does it will need an explanation. This is where the company needs to ask VOSA for advice on best practice. They’ve been very helpful when I’ve asked and you’ve got it in writing to back it up.
If he continues this attitude towards your breaks. When he next takes you in the office, ask someone to come in with you as your witness to what’s said. If he has a boss or manager, which he will have somewhere in the firm, write to this person and ask for a meeting with them and this manager and get it sorted out before the man loses your job for you. Managers like him need to be identified and highllighted to senior management in all companies. These are the people who push drivers beyond the limits of safety and the law to make themselves look good then turn their backs when something goes wrong or someone has an accident & I’ve no time nor respect for them.
My wagon is analog tacho ,we are on a restricted license here aswell so cpc holder, its becoming more apparent to people that this guy has a grudge against me, just some of his comments sometimes & things he does directed at me, a few weeks ago when I was going to a regular drop he told me to make sure I put a block under the leg as last time I put a hope in the drive & if it happens again I will be paying for it , I knew I hadnt so I questioned him about it , he said the customer phoned to.say that a hole had been left after a delivery & that it was probably me as I’m there all the time , I said I’ve. Been going there 11minths and never left a mark let alone a hole, he then said that the customer said it could of been jewson…
I was in school with this customer so know him well enough to question him about it , turns out when he made his last order he just said could you ask who ever delivers to be careful when they unload as the jewson driver put a hole in the tarmac last time he came , so not me atall , that was just another one of many incidents with this guy ,
Kemaro, I assume that you do not have union membership whereby you can ask for a union rep to accompany you to future disciplinary meetings.
Maybe worth considering.
You just beat me to it, del949.
I was about to suggest that, whenever your man gets involved in a “meeting”, whether formal or informal, he should insist on having his own witness present. It seems obvious to an old fogey like me with 200 years of experience, that the witness should be his union reresentative. Stand by for his next post which will probably tell me that the company doesn’t have unions!

Do you mean, So no CPC holder?
This is the problem with own account, until the fertiliser hits the ventilation shaft. The managers blame the drivers, they rely on them to know the rules. The next thing is, the company loses its repute and the driver loses his job even if he was trying to do it properly. I would record every conversation I had with the ■■■■
No cpc holder , no union rep, when I took the job i thought working for a small.family owned firm would be a lot better than all the bull ■■■■ you get normally but it is no different, instead you have no proper managerial system in place & people who try to brush stuff under the carpet , and a one rule for one another rule for another attitude, for example a driver the other day got caught speeding by a mobile camera ,41 in a 30 he was in the lorry so the letter went to the office , he paid the fine & took the points , hex now has 9 , nothing more was said , I suspect if that was me it would be different especially as it says in their own employee handbook that driving offences in company vehicles is grounds for dismissal …

Hang on in there mate, the speeding driver will soon be upto 12 points and they will start to appreciate you, meanwhile record everything that is said to you
This has been a cracking thread from you, you have more patience than me. I would have been dismissed for using a blunt weapon in a workplace
O.K. kemaro, let’s cut to the chase-
Join the union. Which union is entirely up to you, but the sooner you start paying your subs, the sooner you will be covered and will be able to call on the union’s services in all matters of employment law. It doesn’t matter if your company likes unions or not, it doesn’t matter if they don’t recognise a union in their workplace, it doesn’t matter if any other workers at the firm belong to a union or not. You ARE ENTITLED TO TRADE UNION MEMBERSHIP and to deny you this right would be contrary to employment law & probably a breach of your human rights as well. You do not need a union rep in your workplace. An officer from your local union branch can and will act for you. My advice would be to find your local office & start paying your subs A.S.A.P.
Best of luck.
From my experience, which was with URTU, if you’re the only person on the firm in a union you might ■■■ well save your money, when I needed the URTU official it was bloody embarrassing watching him gibbering on like a senile fool

Perhaps it depends what region you are in - Dave Swan was my area rep (fully accreditted) and he was brilliant

Will he be able to assist on brunch options? I’ve always found unions shockingly bad in this respect.
