lucky guy!!!!

all i can say is lucky guy.

Is that the one on 62 west

Did it stay like that till recovery came ! i would think that if he moved it would fall, probably the trailer was empty though.

Was he already stopped on the shoulder when it blew over?

Not really lucky as both wagon and drag went over. I believe its currently blocking lane 1 and 2 and causing a bit of chaos on M62 right now :frowning:

Theres a second photo on red weather warning thread

Past this about 1630 , was on its side covering 3 lanes

That’s at scammonden dam ain’t it?

Don’t be jumping off that bridge.

I’d be suspicious of anybody claiming to be a lorry driver (or “trucker”) who wasn’t absolutely sure of where this is just from looking at the first picture.

I guess I should have worded it better, what I meant was that the truck had been blown over just as you pass over the Dam wall, where you get very bad side winds even when it’s not too bad wind speed wise.

few pics in blow overs in ireland yesterday on irish rigs. good bit of carnage

Sorry to ask what I think is an obvious question… But I take it the trailer went over first and at some point later another gust caught it (while stationary) and tipped the rigid over as well?

This one was even luckier i would say as he escaped serious injury …
