Lorry drivers wanted for new TV show

There was a clip on the news last night of some “famous” rally driver under test conditions, they made him drink a pint of beer and tested his reactions and he crashed through a wall after just one pint :unamused:

Just goes to show some people cannot drink! :stuck_out_tongue:

I see the guy who started this thread’s sharp disappeared. 3 pages in and… gone.

Have we all shown him how pished off we are with the media giving us a bad name??

If he wanted to mess with peoples heads, why didn’t he just go straight to a single company (in green maybe  ) and ask some of them TV wanabes to do the experiment!!

It’s true though,I see more and more wanna be trucking birds trying there hardest to drive em,only this morning watching some idiot from Edwards transport reverse onto a SIMPLE bay,she took 9 attempts ! From what the laughing drivers were saying she has hit 2 cars, dropped a tralier and know one talks to her, sack her I would !!

it is a know fact that women cant reverse
woman cant imagine an image the other way round or revese an image in there mond like males can
watch your misses combing her hear in the mirrow ect. and you will see :bulb:

Many years ago while working for Bert Stocks funfare I asked a tasty young lady if she could drive.
'Of course I can, why do you want to know ?
So I said ‘Would you then like to reverse on to this then’
She gave me a right slap

For an increase in pay I’ll up the tempo and add Fireballs or Jagermeister to the Relentless/Rockstar. Also, can I change the game to Battlefield?

Scrap this plan and try and make some more “Booze Britain” type shows, I used to love watching that at 4am on the sadly missed Bravo.

Oooh I have it. Do a British version of Mantracker, but instead of 2 people trying to get across 30 miles of rought terrain persued by a professional tracker on horseback, have two truckers with loads of defects on the truck try and complete a 15 hour shift without Angus hunting them down in the Police Scania? You could chop footage together to build up the tension, showing him gaining on his quarry when in reality he’s 100 miles away. Bonus points if you use the Stobbarts music and narrator!

Think some of you guys need to get out into the real world where there are a lot of female truck drivers doing a grand job.

[zb] I dunno what you blokes are moaning about. Women drivers are just as good as men when they’ve had the right training and the experience. Just because your experience is of muppets [zb] things up on the road doesn’t mean everyone’s like that. Everyone has their own different priorities.

I don’t really care if it’s man/woman/other driving that truck; if they do it professionally then I’ve not got a problem with it. But those members on here who think that ‘women should go back to the kitchen’ should try and remember that during WW2 women worked in factories, drove trucks and did all those jobs that previously ‘only men’ could do.

ISTR one of the Site Admins of this forum is also a truck driver too, do you think she should stay at home as well?

If it is because you’re ‘old’ and ‘set in your ways’ about the profession and who should be doing it then perhaps it’s time for you to retire and let some young blood in  who can cope with equal opportunities within the driving industry!

Women drivers kick off less

Its not the old guys that complain about women driving trucks ,its the one’s that are still trying to earn their spurs. It’s called ‘insecurity’,I think. Most of 'em can’t spell either.

I love female drivers… :sunglasses:

At least I try and get that right. Although these computers make it easy with web-browsers having spell checkers. You’d think the younger ones could manage it, as they are the ‘computer generation’

Presentation of ones posts includes spelling, punctuation and grammar. The latter is sometimes a problem but if you get the first two right then the latter can be worked around. I failed my GCSEs at school and had to take several goes at college to get it right, but I am sure if someone like Toby learnt the first two his posts would be a lot easier to understand, even if the content was still as it was…

I’ve not reached ‘old’ yet but no longer am I ‘young’ either.

Too many caffeine based drinks can cause you to do this…

this was a pointless thread. the bloke has disapeared.
just as i had a really sensible idea.
why not do the program on energy drinks, then beer, then vodka, then cocaine, then pot. and then it can show some fighting in a virtual lorry park, it will show how the police arrest people who are ■■■■■■ up, and in posession of drugs.

Do you drive a lorry? yes

Do you drink coffee or soft drinks? both

Do you like playing computer games? yes

Do you fancy being on the telly? not if it will have a negative image towards our profession or my company and it would need to pay enough to cover my lost work. i also do not sell my dignity and do silly bugger antics. i am not jedward :exclamation:
