if anyone deserves a few points on their licence for bad tempered use of horn than this is it … he can see obvious conflicts arising but chooses to blast horn instead of coming off limiter. he sees one lady with a baby on board then chooses to be aggressive in a 40 ton truck. … I’m far from impressed.

And if some ■■■ joins the motorway in a dangerous manner causing me to have to bake harshly or take other evasive action i will give it the horn and lights, too many knob rots on the roadsIt may be a good idea the art of observation and anticipation with a little bit of patience thrown in.

These may not be in roadworks but it shows examples of what we professional drivers encounter on the uk roads it is not only us that should plan have patience or anticipate things, they drive around in a trance like state, these fools shouldn’t even be on the roads
I know exactly what drivers have to put up with everyday having been one for over 30 years. Problem is the lorry driver in that video is totally unprofessional and very aggressive. Not the way to act when a car makes a mistake. Maybe neither parties should be on the road.

I agree entirely, that guy drives like a complete ■■■■ end.
Just what I was saying before, you can’t go around driving like that just because you have priority.
All those incidents of potential disaster could have been avoided by observation and defensive driving, instead of his attempts to teach those crap drivers a lesson.
The only lesson he taught them was that he was also an equally crap driver but in a bigger vehicle .
The video highlights just how clueless some drivers are .
The slip road parts where there are 2 separate lanes merging brings about this overwhelming desire you must get on to the motorway ASAP , if not before , even if it means crossing solid lined chevron markings to do so .
Slip roads with a considerable distance before merging are not used as they should be used to build up or adjust speed as required to merge without inconveniencing traffic already on motorway , all and sundry want to enter at the first point the slip road joins , instead of using full available length of slip road .
Where a slip road joins and continues as a new left hand lane , no no , this is not where I drive , I must get over as soon as I can . Not just car drivers either
.
Then the incompetent clowns , on an empty , or almost empty motorway in dead of night , charging along the " fast " lane
, because they are going " fast " .
Slip roads , diverging , or converging junctions are areas where these with little or no clue as to how to join or leave are encountered on an all too frequent basis , as many have said , drive defensively, be prepared & expect the unexpected ( it happens all too often ) .
Anyone , and everyone could go charging through regardless , in the belief they are in the right , where would we be if everyone went about with that type of mindset & attitude, I don’t think many would get too far at all .
I wouldn’t even call the muppet behind the wheel in that video a driver ! Using a lorry as a ■■■■ extension and probably a means of being as tall as everyone else. What a sad bell end he is. Some of these halfwits with cameras forget that their own driving is being recorded too and it’ll hopefully come back and bite 'em in the arse
A couple of toots would suffice in a couple of those incidents to let the driver know you’re there. However, all those near misses are totally predictable. The 4x4 was obviously driven by a sunshine bus’r or an elderly head shaker so why get that close, full speed?
I am disappointed tommy t has no more to say on the matter or maybe he is starting to realise there are other ways to drive.
I’m suspicious of old bangers overtaking me, and then suddenly pulling across the front of me and braking…
I’m already off the limiter and drifting slower the moment I see an old banger number plate coming up my side…
I’m also suspicious of cars way in front of me on a downhill stretch that I seem to be catching up with - and I’m seeing no brakelights as they presumably need to “pad the brakes going down the hill” one would have thought.
…Then there’s white man van and builders/tipper drivers who’ll just swerve across the front of you anywhere and everywhere - because they can.

Not a all, given my opinions /views, and given up arguing with the self righteous on the subject, that’s all

It not necessarily self righteous, more self preservation, both long term and short term.

So you are saying the majority are wrong because most disagree with your style of driving?
You post a video of an unprofessional angry lorry driver bullying a car driver and expect to get sympathy as a truck driver.
I would say the ones you may think are self righteous are probably the more professional drivers.
Safe driving.

Don’t want to sound patronising to tommy, and I don’t know if he supported the knob in the video or not, but if it has created a moment of realisation that maybe he is in the wrong, is that not a good thing for himself and everybody else. (Christ that DOES sound patronising, AND self righteous,…sorry mate )
There is nothing wrong with a man admitting he is wrong that is what I am trying to say.
Bell end alert, only to say I saw a loony in an artic two feet behind a car flashing his lights in anger, the reason why, because the afternoon sun was low and dazzling.
The car driver was being cautious and was not doing anything to annoy this monkey in a lorry.
Absolutely muppettry of the highest proportion.
Put it this way, if you were a traffic police officer, what would you do with monkey boy let loose in a 44 tonner, if he is upset when the sun is low, get a new job flipping burgers.
Well I apologise if he admitted he was wrong but I did not see it that way. I totally agree it is good to admit if you are wrong.
Unfortunately some think they are right when they are wrong though so not that simple.
As I have said before ask any driver if they are a good driver and I guarantee 99% will say yes so why are there so many bad drivers on the road■■?
Do as any good driver would. Ignore them. Move over when appropriate get their number report them to vosa the police and their company

i posted the video to highlight the Muppetry by car drivers that we encounter most days, because it shows what we are up against, an nothing more,
Mind you that is only part of a bigger picture, you have the muppets who even when in lane 1 will cause issues,
Example i’m travelling along m20 towards london, in lane 1 on limiter 90kmph the road is clear and weather dry, muppet over takes, pulls into lane 1, no problems so far,
After around 10-15mins of travelling further up the road the car begins to slow, So i overtake, as i get to around half to 3 quarters of the way past him,he accelerates i stay in lane 2, still no problem & i’m still on limiter, he then seems to hover around rear of the unit, for some time then slowly crawl to the front( in blind spot) he stays there for a while road still quiet and clear, eventually he is in front again, i decided to stay in lane 2 because i know that as soon as i changed lanes he would slow down again, and i wasn’t playing his silly game, i think he got the hint because he exited at the next junction ,
Muppets like that driver of the car need educating, and also need prosecuting for doing ■■■■ like this, until that happens we will continue with what we have now a one sided system, an anti truck system
Tommy you keep going on about muppet car drivers.
What’s your view on the muppet truck driver in the clip?

i don’t have a view of him, I see muppet car drivers when driving a car myself, there are many Muppet’s/lemmings on our roads and the majority are car drivers Some days it’s like running the gauntlet on local roads it’s seems like they have all been or are going to a muppet convention on how not to drive, some may as well wear blinkers, even out walking you aren’t safe from the muppetry, In part the country is too densely populated there are too many cars on the roads hence the high muppet count, in urban areas

I’ve reached the conclusion that a surprisingly large proportion of those using the roads are possibly under the influence of drink/drugs and/or crash for cash scammers and/or an even higher proportion don’t have a driving licence,or at least not a licence obtained by the normal legally expected channels and/or driving without a licence having already been banned. All of which obviously needs a heightened sense of defensive driving rather than the idea of holding course and speed with the intention of hoping that they’ll come to their senses before the inevitable collision.
While also raising obvious questions regarding law enforcement on the roads.
Nothing more frustrating than when you approach a set of works all the middle lane hoggers MUST AT ALL COSTS get past you on approach, dive bomb in front lock on the brakes and then sit there at 40/ 45 in a 50 holding you up.
Now this scenery that someone mentioned would be nice to look at if you could actually travel at a steady speed - you cant. One minute its 50 the next its 38.
The worst stretch is scotch corner works.
Never used to be all these weight limits in the offside lane. Load of ■■■■■■■■ which causes nothing but hassle for everyone
