There’s plenty on here who will think it’s all minor and has nothing wrong and say that the load security is adequate. The well cant it be ratchet strapped so I won’t bother doing anything argument.
I think its about time they put their foot down on foreign drivers. We get penalised for little silly things when driving in Europe. About time we got out own back.
Why include his DOB? In cas we want to send him a card in clink?
It is one of a number of things used to check identity so wouldn’t be to happy about it myself. Mind you he now has 99 problems and that may not be one.
Harsh, yes he was in the wrong but I think the punishment was over the top.

Why is it harsh? The only reason he has been jailed is because he has no fixed address in the Uk for them to send a summons to. Would it be right that he could just run for the border and not face any punishment or fines as soon as he crosses it?
I think the bulk of the punishment wasn’t for the original offences, it was for doing a runner.
The bizzies dont tend to look too kindly on that.

As he provided no proof of a UK address. To send a summons to. Yet they allow him to.go.
And what’s more somohow he manged to get truck.back as well.
Obviously wasn’t secured that well then.
But fair play in they end they eventually caught up with him
