its now being stated that the 23 year old that they dragged off the dublin ferry at the weekend who had binned his mobile and had been in france the last few days is the dude that shipped the fridge into zeebrugge saying it was a load of biscuits hence no need to run the freezer.

Maurice Robinson, 25, known as Mo, was remanded in custody by magistrates in Chelmsford on Monday morning and will next appear at the Old Bailey in London in November.
Robinson was not asked to indicate a plea to any of the 39 counts of manslaughter of “unknown persons”, one count of conspiracy to facilitate human trafficking and one count of conspiracy to assist the breach of immigration law.
He was also charged with two counts of money laundering, one count of concealing criminal property and one count of possession of criminal property.
Robinson spoke on three occasions during the hearing, twice to confirm he could hear the clerk and the judge and thirdly to state his name, British nationality and address in Northern Ireland. He will appear at the Old Bailey on 25 November for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Iguyovwe Ogheneruona, prosecuting, cited the “nature and gravity” of the alleged offences and requested for Robinson to be remanded in custody.
The district judge Timothy Kay said Robinson’s solicitor Julian Hayes had made no application for bail.
“You have heard the nature of the allegations you face and the majority of these can only be dealt with in the crown court,” he told Robinson. “I therefore allocate all matters to the central criminal court on 25 November and you will be required to enter your pleas on that occasion.”
Essex police are expected to visit Dublin this week to interview and seek the extradition of a lorry driver arrested at the city’s port on Saturday.
Irish police detained the 23-year-old, from County Down, after he drove his truck off a ferry that had sailed from France.
Essex police have identified the driver as a person of interest in the investigation. He is suspected of having brought the refrigerated trailer in which the bodies were found to the Belgian port of Zeebrugge before it travelled on a ferry to England.
He reportedly spent three days in France and disposed of his phone before returning to Ireland. Gardai detained him on a warrant for assault and criminal damage in an unrelated case.
There is growing focus on a haulier based in County Monaghan who rented the container in which the migrants died. When the Guardian visited his home, residents who described themselves as relatives said he was not at home.

About a year ago there was a thread on here about a subject that escapes me but a poster (harrawaffa) said Scotland didnt have a problem with ethnic minority gangs and it was “fellow white people causing the problems and no one else”. After I gave him 3 or 4 news article links about minority gangs (including one about a 15yr old boy set on fire when he was still alive just for being white) out came the race card and his response was “You dont like anyone who isnt white, we get it”.
I asked him to highlight what it was about a few facts that gave him that impression but, like most people of his thought process, he didnt respond.
This is the problem youre up against with racism. To shut an argument down, despite an avalanche of facts that disprove their initial comment, the accusation gets put out there and keeps getting used till it drowns out anything youre trying to say. They arent interested in facts that dont fit their agenda, only in believing they are right and will call you racist till you stop answering
I get called racist for saying I want an end to the free movement of people by people who think they are clever and smart yet cant tell the difference between not wanting mass unchecked immigration and not wanting immigration full stop.
Whilst I have no doubt racism is a problem which still persists, I dont believe it is actually anywhere near as bad as some think due to the number of times the word is used by those who dont even appear to understand its meaningRacist.

I do have a feeling that the charges will have changed yet again buy the time it all gets to court .
It will all hinge on the timeline of those in the fridge and when and how they died .
Determination of time and mechanisms of death are very complicated and drawn out , unlike how it is portrayed on the TV and in films .
They look like they have evidence to link him with people smuggling etc , the other charges will depend on many factors and will be argued over by the people in wigs and funny robes .
I was one of those that originally thought that the driver was the fall guy in all this but it certainly looks as though he is much more involved in something illegal. The original reporting was often very misleading and often just pure fantasy by the media .
When the true facts eventually emerge they will without doubt weave a very convoluted tale .
If the figures being mentioned of the fees paid to the people smugglers then it’s a multi million pound operation, there has been mention of the possibility of two more trailers being involved .
This is very different to the chancers jumping into vehicles at ports around Europe, this is global organisations shipping people across the world .

it looks bad for all of them sofar,but id be sure those above them with balaclavas have already made their position known to all their family members about what the result of any indiscretions on their part will incur,and the future rewards to be had if they dont…all just standard practice.

I’m sure you’re right that a lot of effort will go into researching the time lines. But that may have no bearing on the charges bought against any involved.

you could buy them cash at the auctions but who does that without raising suspicion.
buying them elsewhere you would need to have a fake company with a valid bank account though i suppose you could wangle it easier using a bulgarian bank if you wanted to lose your connection.
that way you could just park it up and walk away if things hit the fan as thats whats happened before.
so long as you got a few trips in first then your running on profit money and losing some of it wouldnt matter.

24/7 flat out operation as money is money ,plus its getting colder now and the do gooders havent went across with this years anoraks and sleeping bags for them yet.
theres no penalty when they get caught on the french side even if its the uk customs that find them other than a cup of tea and a piece then escorted back outside the fence to try again.
once they get found on this side its the same cuppa and piece then a remand centre till they proccess them,and ny that time the ones that know they will get deported just walk out the gate and head for the curry shops.
