I have had thumbs up from pedestrians and car drivers alike a few times over the years for doing good turns [and they were thumbs up,lol ]does make you feel good, only problem was I had difficulty getting out of the cab afterwards as I couldn’t get my head out,lol
Same here, the hand signals and gestures i get though do vary quite a bit, im sure all well meaning (i think) no doubt due to my excellent driving…
Oh I do apologise chaps. We can do no wrong.
We are perfect in every way.
It’s a pity I never seem to spot the perfect ones but I spot many a dunce.
Only a dunce changes it’s name from Albion to uncle albie… and then continues to troll in the same tone as before.

The amount of slagging foreign drivers get on here yet it seems their skills are far more advanced than some of our guys.
Has it not occurred to you that EVERY country has it’s fair share of drivers and screwdrivers?
Oh yes pal.Well aware about that.Just irritates me we seem to have more than our fair share of the latter.
agree about the foreign drivers, they sideswipe cars better than some of our guys
I spoke to a Canadian last year at the place I deliver,he said he admires us uk truckers because of the small roads we have to drive on [compared to the usa and Canada]

Albion1971, who’s not been about for quite a while now…
This shows a lot of skills, the American ones show no real skills, if you can’t reverse into a doorway you shouldn’t hold a licence, it’s apart of the job.
Thought Albion 1971 was the world’s best advanced tactical pursuit trained t-pac specialist IAM member special forces instructor high speed driver mentor?
If I see someone do a fine bit of reversing without the need for a shunt; I go over and say:
“Leave it there, driver, I’ll go and get someone to do it properly.”
Most de mountable A frame UPS drivers are good. Most class two rigid drivers are good too. Me on my class one, ■■■■■■■ awesome. Thanks. We’ve been infiltrated by motorists, who hold a class one licence.

Demount A frame drivers are by necessity zb awesome.Class 2 drivers may or may not be as good as demount A frame drivers given a proper trailer some familiarisation and a check out.As for the question,as to whether artic or close coupled trailer drivers have been infiltrated by mediocre car drivers, because it’s the nearest thing we can give them to driving a car and caravan combination,it’s impossible to comment taking a totally unbiased view.

The problem is some drivers take shunts when it is not necessary.Usually because they have not positioned themselves properly in the first place or because they have not a clue how to reverse a trailer.
I find it embarrassing when I see some drivers trying to do a simple reverse in our yard and making a complete horrlicks of it.
How the hell do they get a licence I wonder.

Same as you are allowed on here. It’s embarrassing but what can you do?

If you wernt such an obvious troll id ask who you are to decide what constitutes a necessary shunt and what doesnt.
But since you’re only contribution to the forum appears to be insulting lorry drivers, Ill assume this comment is another half arsed attempt at keyboard warriorism (from probably a non hgv driver)
