I’m tipping a flatbed in Buxton on monday afternoon. Do any of you fine people have any tips for a homeward bound load (Ipswich, or enroute)?
Thinking about it, would it be viable to have a load exchange on here for members

I’d use Goaty for a job that couldn’t be done in house if it was in his area ,people like him are needed as there’s plenty doing traction only or committed to large firms but not many who are available or who have experienced drivers any more or lorries kitted out for any load,good website certainly shows that you can do it.

Just a personal thing MANAGING DIRECTOR, my personal thoughts on this is unless your a director managing several other directors then your not an acting MD and it sounds a bit silly (just my opinion, and yep I am the manager & a Director of my business), I sign with no title if I’m asked I clarify I’m the manager of the business.You can tell I’m bored = no work today, in fact at the moment I haven’t got a job booked until the 7th though that can change by the hour, should have taken one of those shifts the moaning bunch on here didn’t want.
The other thing that would concern me as a customer of yours is that such a small company has a substantial loan, your company details state a mortgage is held, this just means a loan above £30,000ish if this is incorrect I would have it removed and also the connection with Bibby if that isn’t current then have that removed, from a potential customer point of view they want to deal with solvent companies, they don’t want the hassle of things maybe going wrong.
The above is just my opinion, based on nothing more than my own meandering experience,

The terminology used is generally understood by the people involved in import/export.
Merchant haulage is a pompous term for the customers nominated haulier.
Not necessarily containers only.

A good friend of mine who is no longer with us used Goaty for a couple of loads and recommended him to Everyone. including one of the jobs mentioned on Goaty’s website. so when you have done what Goaty has done i suggest you shut up or put up.
I wont defend anyone very easily but i think your approach and “shooting down” of Goaty is un warranted.
